And I almost assumed that it was just another of said threads. Isn't it nice to be pleasantly surprised?
Well, it still is just another of said threads, but it's content/approach make it unique.

I believe it was Schopenhauer who said, "You may very well do what you want but you cannot will what you want."

that's why i put it in its own thread. i was initially going to do a search for one of the other "is it a choice" threads and stick it there but i realized they turn into "yelling matches" and mud-slinging sessions and get so off topic that most people probably don't return to them (i certainly don't)

Oh shit...not another one! It's a random series of events that take place during fetal development (FUCK that birth-order theory). It happens, I think, for some species-supporting reason (non-reproducing lifeforms having roles in somehow advancing the needs of reproducing lifeforms). Hetero men and women had NO choice, homo men and women didn't either. We homos are NOT the result of defective parenting. Unfortunately for us homos, we are a blend of both male and female characteristics and will always make heteros feel uncomfortable, and we will always pay the price for that in terms of constant contempt and abuse from the heteros...and their stupid, vicious, ignorant behavior toward us. We have to be intelligent, strong, ...and, LOL, us gay men must STOP lusting (openly) for hetero men out here on LPSG:cool:).

i'll agree with you on that one. even guys that aren't homophobic probably still get uncomfortable when they get hit on by a gay person. the worst is the stories about guys "in love with their straight best friend" and ask what to do. uhhh, find someone who's gay

not to mention how significant studying homosexuality in this light is. if it can be proven that we're "born" with our sexuality, then it would be unconstitutional to deny is certain rights, something that's done now because people still call it a choice. just because you're 80/20 (whatever the hell that means) doesn't mean the rest of us aren't sure about what we want, and some of us want to understand why

the significance is that if we prove that it's a natural process for one to develop homosexual feelings, we can make great strides in equality (and maybe one day acceptance) for gay people

Done and dusted. Homosexuality is a natural process...it's just not a viable reproductive strategy.

I do wish the video didn't come-off as so .... singly-focused on a certain community. Lord knows they need no help with their persecution complex, and will use any excuse to divert attention from their evident shortcomings...
