I know there are some online pharmacies that advertise online consultations and prescribe prescriptions for drugs like viagra without ever seeing a doctor in person. Are these sites legal? How about overseas pharmacies?

Assuming you live in the US:

Overseas or amy import pharmacy purchases are illegal.

Domestic online purchases are legal if a prescription exists, or one is written by a licensed doctor in the US and the RX is filled in the US. It's not the safest course of action, as I've done this and the "consultation" assumes you answer honestly, and doesn't have any way of conducting an actual exam (obviously).

Dude, time to man up and call your doctor. I know...I'm a big chicken and dreaded it. It wasn't bad at all. I was sent to a urologist who did all the tests, and came to a reasonable conclusion. I am also assured of getting actual RX product, not some Chinese knockoff that at best does nothing, and at worst can do damage.

viagra and its kin are overrated.
in the long run there are better and cheaper ways to overcome ED.

Here's the thing; it's prescription medicine, and only your doctor is qualified to determine the best way to treat your ED. Viagra "and its kin" are only one form of treatment, but when they are prescibed, they work more often than not. Which is a lot more than can be said for the hundreds of "generic" snake oil "treatments" on the market.

On the subjects of snake oil "treatments", I wasn't pleased to find that, according to the ingredients list, "Goanna Oil" contains no Goanna oil.

Apparently it did in the old days. Yet the name still endures...

* Note: Goanna is a type of reptile too.
