Mythology = Fiction... But, with a bunch of some "He-Man" stuff added in, to make it sexier.

myth: definition of myth in Oxford dictionary (American English) (US)

"A traditional story, especially one concerning the early history of a people or explaining some natural or social phenomenon, and typically involving supernatural beings or events."

fiction: definition of fiction in Oxford dictionary (American English) (US)

"Literature in the form of prose, especially short stories and novels, that describes imaginary events and people."

Take note of the bold. Myths seek to narrate histories or explain events or phenomena. Fiction is contriving clearly and intentionally imaginary stories for the purpose of entertainment or inspiration.

Wow!... You are SO out of the loop!... Guess you are gonna have to create a few more "earths" to handle any increase in human population... And, I, for one, don't want to be part of what ever you create.

Always curious to know how you "religious" people explain your relatively recent human written books, (the Bible, the Koran, etc.), to be the "Word of God".

Which "Pope", or version do you adapt to?... 2nd century?... King James?... 13th century Kalif?... etc.?

Let's hear about how all that changes, depending on the brutal regimes in power, at that time.

A/B

Did you see the pictures I attached? They all speak to the natural reproductive desire of opposite sexes attracting each other, and the natural increase of humanity. I am not God, and I have no ability to create additional earths. Because the world population is growing, while the size of the planet is not growing, is why I draw the natural conclusion that world population density must increase. We simply MUST allow and welcome more places to become inhabited by people, lest huge cities become too severely overcrowded. We shouldn't just pile people into a few giant cities controlled by few corrupt and unaccountable politicians, for when have people ever been that great at organizing collosal projects? I think of the Tower of Babel. How did that end up? With God scrambling the human languages and scattering the people, to defer their stupid rebellion.

Why do you blame population increase upon me? It is a simple fact-of-life, and billions of people do not want to use nasty "mad scientist" contraceptive potions and poisons.

The Bible is the word of God, not the Koran.

Here, have some more pictures speaking to the natural human need to grow in numbers.

• Lots of people actually want to get pregnant. World population swells by 84 million more people per year.
• Sex in advertising is rampant. Anybody have any ideas why? Could it have anything to do with that a larger population may mean more customers and bigger profits?
• Due to corrupt government, development often lags behind the natural increase of people.
• Families often do not get the number of children that they "planned."

Very simply - God does not make any junk - we are ALL made in the image and likeness of God.
We may recall the words "I give you a new commandment - love one another as I have loved you"
We are not called to like everyone but to LOVE as we want to be loved.

First I think one has to find a description of God that is acceptable, understandable and believable.

Yep... You have clearly explained that myths are fictional, as well as entertaining... We love entertainment, don't we?

Now, back to the OP's question.

Sorry dude if you are offended. An open mind is something that I would think to be expected of anyone posting in this forum. I don't think anyone's goal is to change anyones opinion regarding their faith. It's only an opinion. You can believe what you want and I wish you eternal peace.

Sorry, You are (WRONG), Rbkwp. They accept everyone. God is a merciful being. Vehicles of faith are never a bad thing. For some, who have come from a religious background, they can take comfort in a church that will offer communion. {In the past, Catholics who were for whatever reason, (as the reasons my be myriad), ex-communicated, could not receive sacraments. Where would they go? }. Would you not allow someone to repent? Would you not allow someone to make amends? Would you not allow someone to get closer to the divine?

The (Proof), is that god allows the church to exist. . . Just like god allows the Adversary- Evil to exist, so we know what good, Is. And God allows us to exist, because we are his children too.

truth be known its quite likely some of the members could be the worst offenders of his word ever a very foolish statement you have made there, damaging to believers .. the sort of thing that cults/sects stem from ..

I think you damage the ministry of Jesus, for not remembering how merciful Jesus, and God really are. Then,. . You cast judgement upon people who go to the MCC?? Isn't that a Sin of Hubris? Have you ever been to one of their services?? I have.

These (offenders) you speak of. . do you Know them? Personally?? What right do you have, to cast judgement upon people? The only being who has that Authority is not mortal, so sit back down please and don't say I am damaging faith. Shame on you for judging me.

Take a step towards Jesus and God, and they will take 2 towards you. Shame on you, for not allowing people to repent for sins.

Do not get me wrong. I am not Judging you here, because I know better. I am only responding to your action and writing.

I urge you to please take a moment to reflect on your own words you wrote above. If you really believe, Why would you say anything that would detract and separate anyone who may be taking steps to be closer to the divine? Shameful.

The Divine would not allow such a Church to exist in his name, if he did not agree with its existence. Logic would dictate from old testament, that if it were heresy it would be smitten. After all, didn't God utterly destroy the towns of Sodom, Gomorrah, and Geddon. The same could be said of our existence in general. If we were not his children, and he cared not for us. . we would be gone already, and there would exist a Utopian society without LGBTQ, and or the concept of Evil, at all. There is a reason for our existence in his creation. I am Sorry. . but I just Can't agree with what you wrote in your responses above mine.

Also, Nothing I wrote indicates politics. I am talking about faith. I understand there are some nutty religious based political organizations. Just check out the American Tea-Party, and the Republican Party in general; If you want to go down that road. . but my point, never was about politics.

If there is a God, it's safe to say that he doesn't care what you or I are doing at the moment, good or bad. We're just two of many in an enormous world. There's plenty more going on at all times.

I personally know that I was born with desire toward men. When I act on my desire toward another man (with his consent of course) I am not harming him, myself or anybody else (provided safe sex is practiced, as it should be between non-monogamous sexual partners of all genders and orientations). So, I frankly don't care if "God" disapproves of my healthy, normal interactions with other human beings.

If "God" equates me giving another man the best orgasm he's ever had with killing or raping someone... then his priorities are out of wack

hahahahahahaha

Everyone has the right to believe in whatever they want but don't act like you know what you're talking about. All religion does is breed hate, and clearly a false sense of superiority.

Sorry, You are (WRONG), Rbkwp.

all Christian respect
place all the rest of your religio speak aside, the real truth of the matter is that you will never ever know the inner workings of the/your fellow believer/member, of any church
he, as in God may well know, but yourself, never ..
i do hope you took the time to read of that individual Capill, was he sent by God, to spread his word and deeds ..
i will judge my fellow man as being of an unknown quality ..
