I was talking to my friend's gf and that is what she said. atleast her group of friends anyway (they are kind of geeky lol, and what i would call "asian wannabees"). Is that the general consensus? cuz i thought it was the other way around.
I myself am a white male, but i really like asian girls, most beautiful girls in the world IMO. (however nothing is more annoying than geeky white girls trying to be asian girls, they are not even close to being an asian lol)
Never heard of that before... maybe it's the new trendy thing about dating asian guys...
As far as I am concerned, I've never had any issues dating both non-asian girls or boys. Now, although being mostly asian (vietnamese with french and chinese blood) I was raised in France and would rather consider myself as french, which you can hear when I speak english wizz zat horribeule accent.
As a matter of fact, I didn't get to meet a lot of asian people where I grew up and for that reason, most of the boys and girls I dated were white/french. For that reason also I cannot say from what I observed that french people are repelled by asian men and mixed racial asian-french couples are pretty frequent (asian men + french women or asian women + french men).
Now, things changed dramatically when I moved to NYC for work 4 years ago. I never felt as much "rejected" as since I am here. Not to make caricatural, the only men who would hit on me are most of the time older men who want to screw a young asian twink.
If socially and daily-relationship wise, I don't feel any hostility being asian (at least looking, since as soon as I speak I'm immediately unmasked), dating wise it is pretty hectic. White gay males or white straight girls tend to prefer white gay boys (who said Chelsea boys were not shallow?) and white straight males even though exceptions occur sometimes. And asians tend to hook up with... asians.
That led me to consider that the melting pot claimed by the US is rather an illusion. I never observed so many white, asian, black and lationo ghettos than since I'm in the US. People co-exist -or try to- peacefully but don't really mix up...
As a "banana" (white inside yellow outside) as another poster mentioned, and moreover, being a french asian guy in NYC, things tend to get even more complicated...
It's funny because in those events, I happened to get closer with some asian boys and girls. I also dated some of them. And to get to the initial topic, yes some asian boys are very attractive. My preference goes to eurasian mixed which I find the most attractive (girls: Maggie Q, boys: Keanu Reeves).
See ya'
