She's just a whore who wrote a book. Was she present for every orgasm of those hundreds of women? I think you're giving her far too much credit and validity.
Like most whores, she's merely in it for the money. Correct. But after her career as a high class prostitute, she became a media madame, here in the Low Countries.
She has been "teaching" about sex on tv, all the time. She appears to be quite intelligent, and does indeed have a very long history of sexual observation.
Apparently, she visited (and organised) hundreds of sex parties in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Now that she's older, she lives together with some women (she has a lesbian streak), and again, she occasionally organises orgies.
So I think she has more useful experience than most of us. Doesn't make her a scientist with facts on paper, though.
What about your own personal experience johnschlong? Did none of your past lovers become extremely wet before having an orgasm?
Sure, good foreplay (or even the idea of foreplay coming), can make a woman become wet. A vagina has to be wet to allow penetration, so it's probably nature doing its thing.
Did all of them (who became wet) only become wet after climax?
No, most became wet before too. But especially, or most extremely, during climax(es).
What about your own experience with the woman who was wet after arousal, but nearly dry at the point of orgasm? Isn't she a contradiction to Hollander's statement?
Indeed, that's why I gave the example. (My version of saying: "all women are different". But apparently some people here didn't even read that example.)
I'm a phone sex operator, and have been for 8+ years. From that perspective, let me tell you something about adult entertainers. We tell clients what will make them happiest. We never take off the character we're playing in the presence of the client. We are willing to say whatever it takes to keep his fantasies alive. If one of his fantasies is that every time he's been with a woman who was really, really wet it was his skill or penis that made her that way, and she had an orgasm, then by George, that's what we'll tell him! A madame, like a phone sex dispatcher, is just another character you encounter on your way to purchasing your fantasy. Further, if you buy her book, you've become her client. But that's just my own point of view. Perhaps your mileage will vary.
Nah, I'm with you on that one. But the phrase in the book seemed quite genuinely informative, not meant to arouse or excite.
So that's what gave me the idea to come and check here on the message board. Is it true what Mrs X Hollander said in that chapter?
In any case, maybe we can conclude that there is no definite way to know whether a woman has orgasmed or not. With men, things are far less complicated. In general, they ejaculate semen when they orgasm. Even though there's also that thing known as the "dry orgasm". But that's another topic.
The thing is that I like it when a woman becomes very wet. Since reading Xaviera Hollander's book, I thought: "djee, I've been such a fantastic sex athlete, because it means that all these women orgasmed!" I will subdue my enthusiasm a bit, after reading all the messages here.
But still: to be wet or not to be, that's my question.
