Hmm....I've shared beds with other straight guys before, mostly during class trips. When I went up to Minneapolis to visit the U. of Minnesota I slept in the same bed with my friend. Same as when I went on a class trip to the South. It's a little weird, but I don't think it's homosexual in any way. I personally feel strange about sleeping with another guy that I'm not friends with. Not because I think they'll do anything, but because I don't know them. Strange, right? I was totally cool with sleeping in the same bed with my two friends those times, but objected when another person from my college wanted to sleep in my bed with me and I wasn't friends with him.

nothing weird about sharing a bed with a good friend as far as i'm concerned. i slept over different buddies houses when i was in high school and often shared a bed with them if the floor was the only other alternative. even today as long as the friend doesn't snore too loud, talk in his sleep or flop around all night, he won't get evicted in the middle of the night.

Only wierd if you make it wierd.

^^^Best answer.

Having said that, I have to say that (a) I've slept alone so long now that sleeping with ANYBODY (non-sexual and sexual alike) is difficult (the other person's tossing and turning keeps waking me up; I'm a light sleeper), and (b) I'm kind of a toss-turn person myself. I'd hate to throw my leg over and wake somebody up. (c) If the other person snores, it'll keep me up all night.

I don't think it is weird; in my younger days, I've slept with friends (straight) on church trips, school trips, etc. But, given a choice, now, I would opt for my own bed or even a cot due to various sleep problems. If I can't stretch out occasionally, I get very uncomfortable. I need to do a lot of rolling over before I drift off, and it is too difficult trying not to bump a bed partner.

And, yes, this does affect my love life.

I just read the above post; we share similar problems.

I don't think so. I have shared a bed with a straight guy. The only problem with sharing a bed is if the other person farts too much. ;-)

Done it a few times and us buds just usually joke and laugh about our big ole huge morning wood and keeping it from touching the other one haha

Me and one of my good friends always end up sleeping together in a full size bed when we crash at each others place. Nothing sexual at all. Neither of us have thought twice about it, but do other people do that? Not that its going to stop just beacuse people think its weird, I just didn't know if other guys do that lol.

one of my good friends and i==========================

I've done it a few times before. No big deal. I can see why some guys might not be comfortable doing that for reasons other than homophobia. What if you're prone to wet dreams, or involuntarily snuggling with anything in the same bed? (Both?)

Most of the time like Hung Jon says if it is someone I know and like, I like sleeping in the same bed or close by enough to carry on a conversation. The only times I can remember when it was weird was when I was maybe twenty with a guy I was helping frame a house on an away from home job. We shared a bed in a guest room of his friend's home. I don't know why it was weird. Sometimes you just feel like you cannot touch the other person. The next night I slept on the floor. The other time was sharing a hotel bed with my mom.

Most of the time it's just sleep.

it's not weird at all, if you are both completely naked.
