Heck, on trips while in college, to save money, we'd put 6 or 7 people in the same room. 2 beds, at least 2 to a bed. Might be 1 guy and 2 girls, or 2 guys, 1 girl in one bed, and the same in another. Sometimes, we'd have 2 per bed and one or two on the floor, and then rotate people the next night so everyone had at least one night sleeping on the bed. No. Big. Deal.

I've not been in the military, therefore, the guy who told me this may have been lying, but, I don't think he was.
He was in the first Iraqi War, back in the early nineties. He said that they basically dug a grave and two guys would sleep in each hole. They had to stay there during daylight. They had some type of camouflage that made the holes not visible to the enemy.
Since they were constantly on the move they had to dig new places each day.
He said if they are in cold weather it is common for 2 guys to share a sleeping bag.

Honestly, beds are for singles or intimate partners only. Being in bed with someone is a very intimate experience and thus should be treated as such.

this is true and part of training in extremely cold weather.

Me and one of my good friends always end up sleeping together in a full size bed when we crash at each others place. Nothing sexual at all. Neither of us have thought twice about it, but do other people do that? Not that its going to stop just beacuse people think its weird, I just didn't know if other guys do that lol.

I think it's perfectly normal lots of people of the same sex and different sex share a bed and nothing sexual happens because they are there to sleep.

Yeah definitely doesn't mean anything. Great to have the closeness and camaraderie to share a bed, even a bed naked, and not have sex be even a remote factor.

I'm not exactly straight as an arrow, but I do it with straight friends. As long as they don't mind the potential morning wood, but obviously they understand if you don't do a good job hiding it when all you're wearing is a pair of boxers.
