Is posting 1000 times really a big deal?

No big deal IMO, but if you want to celebrate it... why not?

And IIRC, doesn't 1000 posts get you free gold member status? If so, there's an actual semi-tangible benefit to that many posts (unlike any other "milestones").

I was glad to hit 1000 because then you are automatically a Gold member-- if you were not beforehand, that is. Things in the galleries become much less fuzzy

But then Helga is a bit of a skinflint. Others simply do it out of LOVE for this place without the ulterior motive.

I achieved gold membership through my thousandth post. When the Scrabble thread was trimmed later, my count dropped by a few hundred, but I still had enough. The site rewards those who contribute frequently this way, and I am very thankful, as my funds are low, and I am not into picture posting for verification/gold status.

I miss SK, and I wish her well. I imagine she is on a beach in FL, giving random men boners right about now.

PS, The lovely miss A/E reminded me I hit 4000, postings yesterday. An accomplishment;but a sign I need to stay off line more than I do:D
