I think they look fine.

And circumcision as a practice was rooted in the belief that it would curb masturbation among men, not for the aesthetics (sp?).

I agree, penises look very nice; cut or uncut.
However, I was always led to believe that circumcision began with the Jews as a health practice. By removing the foreskin they prevented the build up of bacteria that occur when the foreskin and penis is not well cleansed. And since they didn't have the best sanitation systems back then, it was just easier to clip off the foreskin.

They are ugly actually. I think they look funny. I've always thought that. They aren't very aethetically pleasing to me, but I derive pleasure from them anyhow. figures.

what do you think of the Is The design of the penis?
The question is garbled, so I am not sure what was meant, but here are three different points of view from which one might judge of the beauty or ugliness of the penis (I don't say that they are the only three; they are just three that seem to me distinct from one another):

1) Look at it as a piece of nature's handiwork, an organ with a certain function. In this respect, one might find the penis "beautiful" in exactly the same way as one might find the pancreas or some species of insect "beautiful." This is a matter of admiring the natural functionality of a living thing and has little to do with what we mean when we say that someone has a beautiful face or bottom or something of the sort.

2) Look at it as an object of sexual interest. Then one will probably say that some penises are better-looking than others, though one's judgments will show more about one's particular sensibility than they show about the objects judged. E.g., to me, any penis much smaller than my own -- which means most of them -- in a flaccid state looks shrimpy and repellent.

3) Look at the penis as one feature of the male figure of which some account is taken in judging the physical beauty of the man. How much account? Not much, I should think. If a guy has a beautiful build, you are not going to deny his physical beauty because you don't like the looks of his dick, nor are you going to attribute beauty to a guy with a poor physique on the strength of how good you think his dick looks. In fact, it seems to me rather weird to make judgments of beauty or ugliness about the penis at all in this light. It seems to me that if anyone says, "The guy has a great build, but an ugly dick," or "The guy has a poor build, but a great dick," the comment about the guy's penis reflects point of view no. 2 above rather than any real question of beauty or ugliness.

Actually, Jews have done it as a sign of their covenant with God since Abraham was instructed by God himself. Abe did it himself with a sharp stone. It is done in a ceremony exactly 8 days after birth. The origins, as stated are according to the Bible, not me. I am not one to discuss the reality of God on a forum so please do not flame me. I am just reporting here.

I'd say the penis is a great design. It does what is suppose to do most of the time, with little maintainance, feels great and lasts for the life of the user. Some guys do have physical issues, but many of the problems of the penis are actually caused by psychological or other physical troubles.

I would say that the design of women's plumbing is less reliable and more prone to problems than men's. Probably due to the complexity of it's functions.

what do you think of the Is The design of the penis?

My experience is that people who find any part of human body ugly (male or female) often have skewed or repressed views of sex.

The design of the penis is flawless, IMO.

Do they have to hide it? Only because it's a sexual organ and not polite to go flashing it in peoples faces.

"Cutting parts off it" This is only because of religious beliefs or certain societies that make it the norm. It's just a matter of opinion if it actually looks better. I personally think it looks better un-cut.

I think the penis is a beautiful design...a true work of art, being both vulnerable and strong...God, I just love them.

I like the shape. The head of it is the best part. It is like looking at something that is work of art. Before my hubby, I really did not look at my ex's private parts with "Wow" in my eyes. But, my hubby's private part is :redface:BEAUTIFUL:redface:.......

Is The penis is a bad design of nature? Nope, I think they are wonderful to look at, I have spent many hours just gazing at the men in the gallery. :biggrin1: people say the penis is ugly and thats why men have to hide it, Uh no, they don't hide it per se. We women don't walk around with our vaginas on display. It's a matter of decency. One does not expose their genitalia in public no matter what sex you are. they like cutting parts off of it to make it look better. I assume you are referring to circumcision. To the best of my knowledge circumcision is not done for aesthethic purposes.

What do you think of the design of the penis? Most of them work just fine for me. There are some that I have seen which I might deem too small to fuck; but they are often the most attractive and symmetrical of penii.

I'm completely fascinated by them! :biggrin1:

I love looking at them - and touching them, and feeling them from all angles! Oh yeah!

As far as "hiding" them, I echo what a couple of other people have said - society usually has us (men and women both) hiding our sexual parts in public, unless of course we are at a nudist event or something like that.

It is kind of funny the way it is placed, almost as a last thought of a let over body part, but generally i love the look of a 'erect' cock. I am not overly fond of a soft cock, even if well hung, but a hard cock is an amazing thing. The individuality between each with curves, veins, bumps, colours, size, foreskin/no foreskin., hairy, shaven. Every cock is a treasure trove of fun and anticipation

The only design fault is the 'average' size being so low, id say most women would agree if 6x5 was the average then the world would be a happier more loving place

The human penis is extremely unique in nature.

Nearly all animals that have penises, have bones in them, even chimpanzees. Humans do not because we walk upright. It would be impossible for men to function safely if they were walking, running, hunting, or even bending over if they had penile bones. Instead, our penis works hydraulically. In order for it work at all, sexual arousal has to take place. For penetration to occur, the penis must be stimulated to do so. Our boneless penis is much larger in proportion to our bodies because it is boneless and because the human vagina is comparatively larger to accomodate our comparatively large infants.

Biologists have theorized that if humans never took to walking upright, not only would our penises be much smaller, but we wouldn't derive sexual pleasure from them OR from the clitoris because there would be no need for sex to be pleasurable. Like animals, we would mate out of instinctual need, not desire.

There are many unique things about humans but our sexual organs are particularly brilliant and fascinating; unique in all the world for being capable of giving us intense physical pleasure.

So while the penis may look a bit odd or even silly, it's an ingenious bit of nature's engineering. Without it, men and women would not find joy in sex.
