i got circumcised last monday, and are wondering if my penis is healing normal.
i tried looking around on the web, but none of them looks like mine in the healing process.

was hoping some of you had one that look like mine, and could tell me everything is fine.

its mostly the swelling on the back im concerned about.

if it is tender and still swollen, you may just want to touch base with your doctor. just to play it safe.

Your photo isn't loading for me, but swelling is normal after this sort of surgery. Don't worry about it. Vigilance for signs of infection applies, as with every surgery, but this one isn't very risky or complicated. Good luck :) I'll try to take a look when I'm home to double-check.

likes2seemore - thank you, nice to know yours look the same. off course im concerned, and because its swelling in the "normal" skin and not only in the inner foreskin as it does on the most pictures i have seen online i got i little concerned.

but i hope it will be perfect in some weeks :)

I was circumcised as an adult, about 6 years ago. I had a different style of circumcision than you, but I think that for 1 week post-surgical, that looks amazing - not bad at all. Don't get all freaked out over what it looks like right now. Mine looked god-awful for a month, but improved steadily and continued to do so for a year. At that point, I was at about 95%. It took about 18 months until it got to what I pretty much consider it's "final" appearance - the way it looks now in my album pics.

twenty two, if this one week on, this is perfectly normal and I would say quite fine for week 1. Soon, you'll start to notice daily improvements (unless you play with your penis too much, which brings back swelling).

Warning signs are usually redness, sharp pains, fluid discharge. After any kind of surgery some amount of swelling is normal just so long as its not continuing to swell larger as time goes on.

It doesn't look like an inflammatory swelling; no redness and no discharge on the clean wound site. perfectly normal.

Yeah, can someone please explain to me why you would go through something like this? It looks incredibly painful and unnecessary...or is it just something that guys are self conscious about, like why women get work done on their breasts for example?

I got circ'd almost a year ago. I had a very similar style circ done At one week, your recovery process is infinitely further along than I was. It's looking great! Give it another couple of weeks. It'll look completely different. In a good way.

To the rest of you repeatedly asking why he had a circ done....knock it off. There's thousands of threads on here that have debated that very question into oblivion. Do a search. This thread does not need to be mucked up with a bunch of debate about why vs. why not.

thanks for all of the comments.
in the last couple of days the swelling is almost gone, and now im starting to se what i think it will look like.
i was simply concerned without any reason - but its a sensitive place.

and to answer why i did it, simply because i wanted to. didnt need a nosejob to feel pretty like many people do, i wanted this.

Bravo! It looks great and I can't wait to see the results after the stitches are removed.
