    Bobby Darin's version of "Beyond the Sea" was better, I thought than the versions I've heard dating back to 1940's and 1930's

    The Leaves and Jimi Hendrix did "Hey, Joe!" better than the original

    Disturbed has performed a lot of the 1980's hits better, I felt, than the original renditions (e.g., "Shout!", "Land of Confusion")

    It's very very rare you'll manage to find a cover thats better than the original, dont forget the original is what made the cover ;)
