Could you maybe explain the question?
The only 80/20 rule I know is the Pareto Principle and I don't think that's what you were talking about.

i would say Mr. Red M&M represents a large portion of LPSG's male membership. not sure it's as much as 80%. maybe 79% :tongue1:

eta: actual 80/20 rule. for me the is the inverse. i've been letting 80% of the assholes ride on the good graces of 20% wonderful folks.

in away LPSG is the perfect petri dish. there be awesome folks here. and there are people who really should be required to register with some sort of sketchy bastard datebase.

Yes I'm sure all the ladies see us men as some kind of moronic one dimensional stereotype, makes sense

After the comments I went back and read what I posted. Hell I confused myself. Let see if I can give a better explanation of my point...ugh sorry folks.

If you ladies are out in public be it a party, bar, shopping, restaurant, park. Do men misread you with regards to your intentions or you may have no intentions at all? This could be as simple as hey she wants to talk, she must be looking to pick someone up and so on. Do men misread women in these situtions most of the time which is where the 80/20 came from.

The commercial shows the male M&M totally misreading the female M&M based on her coating which he sees as her having nothing on which is not reality.

    I hope this helps.

Since I rarely speak to the majority of men when I'm out and about I have no idea how I'm read or misread by them. I'm sure there are pervs among them who undress all women with their eyes, but I doubt it's 80% of them. I think 20% would be generous as well. Am I being naive? I doubt it.

So the 80/20 thing is basically saying men misread womens intentions 80% of the time and get it right the other 20%?

I actually took the advert as more she was calling the red M & M stupid which he generally is in other adverts and things.

    That's what I'm asking.

    Yes, it does - thanks.

I still dunno if I can really answer though because I'm only one woman and I don't have an insight into other women's intentions to know whether men are misreading them or not.

Also I can't really say if men are misreading my intentions or carrying on regardless. I'm a friendly person - no, don't laugh, I'm happy to talk to pretty much anyone most of the time - and if someone starts a conversation with me I'll be polite and responsive. Do some men misread that as me being interested? It would appear so. At that point I try to make it clear that I'm not interested. Do some men carry on trying to hit on me? Yeah - have they misread my lack of interest or are they carrying on in spite of it? I have no idea.

Do some men think I'm trying to get laid because I sometimes wear low cut tops? Probably. Is it all men? No. Is it men who know me? None that I'm aware of.
