Hi benderten... I agree, it was great that he told me before we first had sex - it would have been a big shock for me if I'd only found out when he tried to enter me, and shows that he is thinking about things from my point of view.

I'm fine with his size, I guess I'm lucky that my (average-sized) body can somehow accommodate most of him, but I know a few of my friends who would be intimidated by and / or unable to take a penis of this size and even one a fair bit smaller.

I think it should be after you know that a relationship is going to become sexual, but before the night of consummation. Difficult timing, I know, but something that needs to be done - definitely if a guy is exceptionally big, but I wouldn't say so for a small penis - for me, that's not an issue, or not so much of one. It's only if it becomes a physical problem, ie a woman is unable to accommodate his size, not a purely subjective 'preference'.

Maybe if a guy has had problems with it before, large or small, then he should mention it.

JennyCurves: My ex was around 9.5", and I thought more would be lovely, but the fellow I ran into with 11.5" was just too large for me. As I mentioned in another post, it was the girth rather than the length that was the issue. I think maybe 11.5" x 7" would be on the edge of manageable for me.

I think it is an important issue but sometimes its kinda awkward bringing that kinda stuff up. I'm very well hung and so I'm well aware that I could hurt a girl, but I've only had one serious gf that i wanted to go further with and I kept it to myself cos I didn't know how to bring it up.
