I want to see all the protests in Europe ( a bunch of weak willed cowards if ever there were ones) now that Hamas did not respect the cease fire.

All, every speck of civilian blood spilled is on the hands of Hamas and all of Europe.

You do not have to convince me.
And i am truly sorry that things have to be this way in the world.
But i will support ISRAEL as they SMASH Palestine like the HULK on a Meth-Bender.

very disappointing...but done for the obvious reason that they don't want to put Obama into the fire right away.

all the IDF troops in Gaza are angry, and predictably, Olmert and Livni et. al once again have missed a golden opportunity to crush Hamas completely

I wonder what happened to all the apologists for Hamas and the Palestinians, and where oh where are all the bashers of Israel?

Rats and cockroaches (maybe a better word for this site) scurrying to darkness when the truth is revealed.

Sadly it is nigh on impossible to crush Hamas when the authority among them are hiding in Lebanon etc

You're as fanatical as Hamas.

Europe won't even talk to Hamas. Where are you getting this moronic nonsense from and why do you wish to promote division and ignorance?

BBC NEWS | Middle East | Carter: Hamas will accept Israel

James Glanz in The New York Times

"A Little Democracy or a Genie Unbottled - The overwhelming sense among politicians and intellectuals in the Middle East last week was that America's little chemistry experiment had blown up in its face. President Bush promoted democracy and free elections as his primary solution to the region's ills - and when Hamas won in a landslide in the Palestinian elections, the president got results that could not have been more inimical to the interests of the United States and its ally, Israel.

The president did not specifically rule out talking to a government of which Hamas is a part. Still, he did not sound entirely pleased that he had gotten what he wished for. And if democracy continues to produce results that are irksome to the United States, will other Americans call into question the export of their most glorious product, electoral democracy?"

and finally

"Israeli troops killed a Palestinian near the southern Gazan town of Khan Younis on Sunday morning, reports from Gaza said. If confirmed, the death would be the first fatality since the ceasefire began."

Unless you're an Israeli or a Palestinian, why support either of them? :dunno: They're both unscrupulous governments each seeking domination over the other.

Drifter, I know this was from the article you linked, so don't feel this is aimed at you personally...

The notion that democracy is some gift that the USA can bestow upon another people, or otherwise export around the world is utterly idiotic...as partly evidenced by the fact that the Bush administration felt it to be a viable course of action to undertake.

It wasn't handed to us on stone tablets from Mt. Sinai...our fathers fought and bled and died for it. It means something to us here...or at least it used to, and still ought. It means nothing to a people who neither asked for it nor understand its importance. It's simply one of those lessons which must be learned through experience. It cannot be taught. And it certainly cannot be imposed through forceful occupation, particularly by a corrupt power which has its own interests and motivations in mind.

Unfortunately, and this time, the rest of the world could only watch Israeli war campaign and verbally condemned their violations of humanitarian law and civilian rights. Unfortunately, could'nt do more than to sympathize with palestinians...
Thanks to the support of the US, and this time they managed another of their slaughter campaigns, killings on the hundreds of children and civillians and inecent people, destroying the remains of the poor, demolished and already strengled Gazan economy...
Gaza remains the biggest world concentration camp, nowadays...

I am a harsh critic of Israel, but I am no cheerleader for the Palestinian government. I doubt that any of the Palestinian sympathizers on this board are pro-Hamas or pro-Fatah. We are just against the slaughter of innocent lives. The Israelis are the oppressors, so they garner less sympathy when azn innocent Israeli dies. It is natural to want to side with the underdogs and support women and children. Every Israeli hair that was harmed is regretable and any loss of israeli life is absolutely tragic and horrific.

Yes, both governments are crooked, but the U.S. government is crooked... all governments are crooked... people are crooked, it's the human condition that wants to get something for nothing... it's how our brains are wired.

I just have a hard time garnering any good will towards a country that kills soooo many civilians. The Israelis are and have always been drunk with power.

******************************************************

It's no conspiracy that the meida is 100% pro Israel. Faceking typed a post that mentioned that all of the coverage that he was seeing was all pro-Palestinian... I nearly fell off of my chair when I read that.

The media constantly just showed us far away, wide angle images of bombs being dropped. The media showed NONE of the severed limbs, dusty and bloody children pulled out of rubble by their little lifeless arms, crying and grieving parents and the pools of blood all over the street. Absolutely none of it. The images were sent in but discarded because it would anger the Zionists that are in the upper echelons of the individual news organizations.

It might have had nothing to do with Zionists or Israeli propaganda and might have been just an extension of our "war coverage" which seek to glorify our warriors while objectifying the enemy. It makes the viewers and listeners at home desensitized towards the horrific violence and renders the people being destroyed as one dimensional enemies of freedom.

Hell the Israelis managed to kill 40% of their own soldiers which just means that they were shooting up the place like it was the wild west. It also means that they are a bumbling bunch of morons.

What kind of a dipshit army kills 40% of their casualties? The Israel army had to bomb the shit out of Gaza like fucking scared little bitches that don't want to get a papercut. They were obsessed with softening up a people that had no water or food.

Bombing campaigns are meant to soften up hardened targets. the Palestinians have no fucking money... how they hell are they gonna have hardened targets? Oh I forgot, they jumped in all of the bunkers that Israel left behind and that meant that the entire Palestinian population was a target.

They bombed the shit out of Gaza 'cause they are scared of the hardened Hamas fighters who don't give a shit if they get a papercut and will put a cap in the IDF's ass if they give them a chance. Well, Israel didn't even give them a chance and just destroyed the whole fucking place because they were too much of a pussy to just roll into there with ground troops and snuff out the Hamas fighters like they should have. I mean, they have fucking tanks and helicopters for crying out loud.

None of the so-called Palestinian supporters on this board are pro-Hamas. We all condone the killing of the Hamas fighters by the IDF, it is Israel's right to defend itself.

We are against the slaughter of innocent life... especially women and children and that is as far as we take it.

BBC NEWS | Middle East | Tense calm follows Gaza ceasefire

What are you talking about?

I know you are not so naive that you didn't expect Hamas not to get the last rockets off as Israel retreated out of Paestinian territory. That was always the politics of the situation for Hamas.

Actually I do and I can't believe you think that launching 10 deadly Qassan rockets into Israel designed to kill women and children is simply a harmless prank after a ceasefire has been declared.

You are the worst kind of gutless apologist for Arab violence vs. women and children.

You should be ashamed of yourself but I suspect you can't be shamed.

And where are the protests vs. Qassan rockets being aimed at Israeli woman and children? You should organize one. Ha!

You are insane. there is no dealing with an insane person. Seek help. All the Israeli military action has been in response to jihadists attacks. Hamas places their batteries in civilian areas like the gutless cowards they are.

I am not a Zionist and I have no love for Israel but I can tell when they are getting a raw deal. Poorly read people like you prove it daily.

Oh... so now I am insane and poorly read.

So, you wouldn't mind if I called you heartless and a warmonger?

The only thing that would help me, is if you would get a brain and heart. Then you could be a useful member of society and wouldn't run around condoning the wholesale slaughter of innocent Palestinian lives.

Being pleased with the deaths of women and children is as fucking insane as humans get.

You are not a Zionist and have no love for Israel?

Then what are you doing with your head stuck up the ass of Zionist propaganda? Just having a little fun?

Goosey, I don't take this issue lightly.

Please don't try to tell me that 20 odd ineffectual missiles that mildly injured two people amounts to a big hill of beans. You shot a Palestinian dead - maybe one bullet. You have killed over 1300 people and suffered 13 casualties, irrespective of friendly fire.

Hamas wishes to destroy you, but that is like me saying that I am going to fuck Angeline Jolie, but you also wish to destroy Hamas and yet you really do have the power to do it and in this thread you are lamenting the fact that you have not been able to do it. Don't blame those who are not your blind allies, but those who propbably told Olmert that they could do it in the three weeks whilst W was still at the helm.

You failed. Deal with it.
