Israel doesn't have an issue with Palestinians - it's Hamas. I am certain that the IDF will do whatever they need to do to limit civilian casualties. However, true to form, Hamas will use women and children as meat shields because they're a bunch of pussies. War is ugly...

Did you just utter that with a straight face?

Israel doesn't have a problem with Palestinians. So what was all that nonsense before Hamas was formed in 1987?

PLO? Gimme a fucking break. Palestinians needs some damn leadership.

I agree. Except when they elect the leadership they want, we call them terrorists (or communists) and unleash destruction on them.

Mossadegh
Albarez
Allende

All of these guys were "terrorists" or "enemies fo the free world".

All of them were democratically elected.

Look, I'm from the US so we have a distinctly different view of the whole Israeli/Palestinian struggle. The US labels Hamas as terrorists and for good reason; they are. They didn't come into power until Arafat passed. Prior to that, they were hardcore terrorists that bombed buses, restaurants and anything else where civilian Jews gathered.

Hamas broke this latest ceasefire to incite this latest round of violence so that Palestinians would support them and therefore keep them in office. This is a wag-the-dog moment for Hamas and Israel sees through it. All Israel is doing is giving Hamas what they want - an ass kicking.

Yes, the region is terribly unstable. At this point, I'm for whatever will bring this to a head and bring real change - for better, I hope. Europeans and people around the world are lining up and criticizing Israel. That's fine. Its not like Europe has done anything to help distressed nations at all in my lifetime.

That's what happens to outlaws. And when you riot in the jail, the police come in and crack skulls!

Are you suggesting that merely living in Gaza makes one a criminal, and thus deserving of a cracked skull?

I'm surprised, well not that surprised - that someone [the OP] with a stated age of 37 would express what comes across as a 'gung ho' attitude to what is undeniably a massively disproportiate military action. One that will certainly result in the premature and unpleasant death of many [more] civilians, regardless of cause.

So tell us, Guru2; do you truly believe this problem has a military solution?

So was Mandela's ANC party. And look at them today. Upheld as symbols of the struggle for freedom blah, blah.

Distinctly different how, exactly?

:haha: Look ... closer.

Dude, thanks for elaborating on your views. Gives a much better picture of your thinking.
