It's all racism

That dude's ignore fodder. Contributes absolutely nothing of substance to any political discussion, just insults.

And some of us who can't fucking stand the situation we were handed on 1/20 aren't even Democrats or supporters of Sec. Clinton so the name calling and "liberal snowflake" crap is moot. I have never witnessed a President with so many diehard, defensive supporters as this guy. ANY criticism of him sets them off - so who exactly are the real sensitive snowflakes out there? Methinks the ones who worship at the altar of the petulant man child in the White House who can't keep his fucking tiny fingers off of Twitter!

I guess I shouldn't be surprised by this response. I've heard this weak excuse of an argument before. It in effect gives a "pass" to get away with BS statements like in this article, and the above liberal response. There are people of all races and ethnicities who have power over others of different races and ethnicities. Sorry bub, you can't have it both ways. Racism is racism, and no one should be excused. Until we get past all the excuses and qualifiers, regardless of who says it, we will never be able to have an open, honest conversation about racism.

I already said it's racist. I said it's racist in my first post. Not only did I say it's racist in my first post, but the first thing out of my mouth was that it was racist.

But I don't have time or interest in debating every racist remark that every powerless fuck in the USA utters at some point in their lives. Regardless of the color of their skin and regardless of the color of mine, it's not something that affects me.

You're sitting here crying up a fucking sob story because some college age students don't want you to wear hoop earrings... who gives a fuck. Wear 'em if you want to. They don't have the power to do shit to you. They're not the police. They're not the government. They're not a roving gang. They're a couple young women at a college campus.

Jesus Christ you're a weepy fuck.

Agreed. But again, we have to acknowledge racism holistically, and not make differentiations or excuses over what is racist and what isn't just so it can fit an agenda.
I have no idea what you mean here?
We are no longer allowed to acknowledge what we find to be racist?

So this now makes your fifth post here. Appears to have stuck a nerve, especially evident with the passion in the last sentence. Get a hold of those emotions, Tex. Rope em in.

Let me explain it to you, since you're missing the big picture. It ain't about earrings, meathead. It ain't about power either. No one is crying. It is the messaging here. From college aged youths, not some old old fart from the 1960s. It is what has become an increasingly acceptable response from some who feel entitled, who feel they have a right over someone else. That ignorance, that entitlement, regardless of the offender's skin color, is racism. And lose the power crap - - THAT is pure weepy BS. It has to be acknowledged at all levels if we are to address this in a coversations.

And yet you don't think it's racist to say that black people who find being profiled and subjected to stop and frisk should just cooperate more? Or how about stating that POC are given preference in hiring to the detriment of whites? Where is your outrage when POC have to hear repeated comments that they aren't as qualified as whites?

so white people have been doing this since our country was founded....and still continue... no comment from you..... but when two women of color in college address hoop earrings on white women... you need to start a thread to address their outrageous behavior?

It was acknowledged from the first post. But at the end of the day, and maybe you miss this because you're not frequently a victim of racism yourself, but racism is everywhere. The first scene here in this link covers it...

http://imgur.com/gallery/Co25B

What those young women said was racist, but it's an isolated incident from people who don't know any better and aren't in a position to turn racist views into forced action. Your continued insistence that this needs some kind of response is tone deaf to the extent that minorities suffer stupid racist remarks like this every fucking day.

If you want to include this type of shit-commentary in the conversation, it's going to be a one-way conversation because no one has time to document or write about all the stupid shit that is said every day in this country by random idiots.

You're trying to pull time and attention away from the types of racism that actually impact people's lives to waste it all furiously addressing the types of background racism that are always there and likely always will be.

I keep pointing this out to him, but no amount of exasperation on my part is able to penetrate his skull.

In his mind, police murdering unarmed black men is the same as two college students saying that white girls shouldn't wear hoop earrings.

It's all racism!

In his mind only one is wrong.

What else can one expect from someone who thinks Ben Carson is an inspiration to blacks?

Stated racism is wrong, regardless of the skin color of the offender. Read the thread's title. Only here could a thread on racism create such backlash from liberals.

But, but, but . . . white people do it all the time!!! Now who is being f-ing weepy, to quote the eloquence of tex?

And yet when white people do it you don't feel it's important enough to start a thread decrying it. Oh I forgot, it's a different standard that blacks have to live up to.

Let us not forget that this is the same guy who created the thread "The Responsibilities of Black Athletes/Celebrities in Fighting Racism." Only, the tread was NOT about how said celebrities should fight racism. It was created around the time of the Ferguson incident, and his argument was ESSENTIALLY about how black athletes/celebrities were somehow "responsible" for keeping other black people in CHECK.

So this is more of the same kind of b.s. from our "not a racist" "friend."

Dude, who said anything about blacks? You clearly didn't read the articles. More ignorance. Jump on the bandwagon.

Why would I read discredited conspiracy sites? I don't ascribe to your tinfoil wearing world.

Nice but weak attempt to avoid explaining why this one instance was important enough to start a thread but repeated incidents of white racism gets no response from you.
