How do you maintain that lean body and six pack abs if you smoke that stuff? My roommate used to smoke weed every day and the bastard would get the munchies and eat all the food in the apartment.

well haa, when I am high I DO get the munchies. The munchies I eat arent chips and cookies, I like to eat healthy food and alot of protein when I'm high tuna and meats...., but I do work out daily, and do 35-40 decline situps for every set of an excerise I do... but when I get the munchies I just eat and dont stop lol, but I play hockey too which is great cardio and I have a wicked fast metabolism too, which always helps :) :biggrin1:

THC is less harmful to the body than cigarettes, alcohol, and almost any other legal or illegal drug. Furthermore, I have personally witnessed a cancer patient going through chemotherapy stating very clearly that they dont know how they would have been able to get through their treatments without the relief that cannabis provided them.

Yes by all means legalize it this way!
By making it a drug that can be used legally for medical purposes it willl be legally available only by prescription and only at the drug store making it a crime under any other circumstances with jail time.

It is a fact that long term frequent use of weed actually does affect your brain (not to mention the damage it does to your lungs etc...) So yes it does make people stupid...

me myself and i just to name a few lol
Wow. So in addition to making your dick bigger and making you way smarter, chronic weed smoking (btw, is that redundant?) also makes you incredibly witty.

Then again, it's possible it just makes you think your dick is bigger, think you're smart, and think you're witty. Dontcha think? ;-)

It is currently inconclusive in regards to the long term effects of marijuana and brain function( some studies say this and some say that). As far as lung damage goes, there are other ways to ingest it rather than smoke (vapor, oils, food)

Well in the UK it is pretty conclusive...

Risks of using Cannabis:

  • Even hardcore smokers can become anxious, panicky, suspicious or paranoid.
  • Cannabis affects your coordination, which is one of the reasons why drug driving is just as illegal as drink driving.
  • Some people think cannabis is harmless just because it’s a plant – but it isn’t harmless. Cannabis, like tobacco, has lots of chemical 'nasties', which can cause lung disease and possibly cancer with long-term or heavy use, especially as it is often mixed with tobacco and smoked without a filter. It can also make asthma worse, and cause wheezing in non-asthma sufferers.
  • Cannabis itself can affect many different systems in the body, including the heart: It increases the heart rate and can affect blood pressure.
  • If you’ve a history of mental health problems, then taking cannabis is not a good idea: It can cause paranoia in the short term, but in those with a pre-existing psychotic illness, such as schizophrenia, it can contribute to relapse.
  • If you use cannabis and have a family background of mental illness, such as schizophrenia, you may be at increased risk of developing a psychotic illness.
  • It is reported that frequent use of cannabis can cut a man's sperm count, reduce sperm motility, and can suppress ovulation in women and so may affect fertility.
  • If you’re pregnant, smoking cannabis frequently may have some association with the risk of the baby being born smaller than expected.
  • Regular, heavy use makes it difficult to learn and concentrate. Some people begin to feel tired all the time and can't seem to get motivated.
  • Some users may want to buy strong herbal cannabis to get ‘a bigger high’ but unpleasant reactions can be more powerful when you use strong cannabis, and it is possible that using strong cannabis repeatedly could lead in time to more users experiencing harmful effects such as dependence or being more at risk of developing the mental health effects.

I smoke weed. I enjoy doing it often. It helps me combat my cluster migraines, PTSD, and social anxiety. It helped me when I was on chemo.

My problem is that quite a few (not all) people tend to take the rantings, misspellings, and general dumbfuckery of some stoners, and lump all of us as a whole into the category of "stupid". I know my English is not always proper, but I know I don't care to be added into that mix.

Please, from one stoner to another, use spell check, or get some English lessons.

Thank you.

Risks of using Cannabis:

Alright lets see what I can debunk here:

  • Even hardcore smokers can become anxious, panicky, suspicious or paranoid. This is true! +1 point for you!
  • Cannabis affects your coordination, which is one of the reasons why drug driving is just as illegal as drink driving. There have been studies that proved this was not the case, in fact researchers say that marijuana use has little to effect on driving ability. Now texting while driving; that shit's truly dangerous
As I stated before smoking it CREATES carcinogens which are the primary source of lung cancer and other respiratory disorders. If you vaporize, or mix it with your food via "canna-butter" you end up with a much healthier alternative than smoking.
  • Cannabis itself can affect many different systems in the body, including the heart: It increases the heart rate and can affect blood pressure. Yes, indeed it raises heart rate, but so can caffeine, nicotine and asprin (legal alternatives). Both of those are legal yet one of them can easily kill you if you overdo it. My point here is that there's a lot of things that raise heart rate and blood pressure, temporary and in the long run (you just have to be careful what you put in your body.)
  • If you’ve a history of mental health problems, then taking cannabis is not a good idea: It can cause paranoia in the short term, but in those with a pre-existing psychotic illness, such as schizophrenia, it can contribute to relapse. Yes, it can cause those things, but I don't believe it could solely blamed on marijuana; there would have to be other underlying factors. Alcohol has been known to throw people (with pre-existing conditions) into depression and even kill themselves, and hell thats legal almost everywhere.
  • If you use cannabis and have a family background of mental illness, such as schizophrenia, you may be at increased risk of developing a psychotic illness. This comment and the one before it are practically the same thing.
  • It is reported that frequent use of cannabis can cut a man's sperm count, reduce sperm motility, and can suppress ovulation in women and so may affect fertility. This=true! +1 point for you!
  • If you’re pregnant, smoking cannabis frequently may have some association with the risk of the baby being born smaller than expected. This is unproven at best. The effects on humans are unknown and hyperactivity is on effect that researchers have witnessed in animals, but even this does not mean it has the same effect on humans. Now let it be known that you're supposed to avoid most/all forms drugs if necessary while pregnant seeing as the chemicals can be transmitted to the baby.
  • Regular, heavy use makes it difficult to learn and concentrate. Some people begin to feel tired all the time and can't seem to get motivated. Different strokes for different folks is what I always say, "heavy use" varies from person to person and even then the effects can be different from person to person. Studies have shown that people have been able to concentrate better, and study more thoroughly and receive and keep just as much information as a sober person.
Marijuana is not physically addictive, psychologically maybe, but so is brushing your teeth and washing your hands. Therefore, dependence is not an issue. Lastly, I already covered mental health

Now I don't believe the OP is the smartest dude on the planet (who happens to smoke marijuana) and if what you believe about weed is true, I say let the dumb ones 'weed themselves out' and go on with your day.
