WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE? WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO DIFFERENTIATE HIS BELIEFS AND WHAT HE ACTUALLY WANTS TO LEGISLATE!

He is PERSONALLY against gay marriage, which is a very valid position one can have. However, he wants government out of marriage completely. While not for gay marriage, he has no problem allowing a state to allow gay marriage.

I believe he has switched to anti-death penalty, his only "flip-flop" while in office. But again, he is PERSONALLY against abortion. But he believes it is not the government's position to legislate that.

So then why isn't Ron Paul Pro-Choice instead of Pro-Life then if he believes that the government should stay out of it?

This is all untrue. Ron Paul wants to overturn Roe v Wade and has propsed the "Sanctity of Life Act" which would define life as beginning at conception. Though he doesn't support a Constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage - I made this error earlier - he does support the Protection of Marriage Act which would allow states to ban gay marriage and refuse to recognize marriages from other States.
You really should know your candidate's positions before you start lecturing the rest of us.

Romney has a long difficult summer ahead of him. he has so alienated Paul supporters, he cant count on their help this fall. and he needs all of them. the Romney delegate that punched the Paul delegate at the recent Oklahome Republican state convention is just one example of the Romney arrogance. and his recent revelation of his attack on a classmate at his private school when he was 18, where he held down a fellow student and shaved off his long hair is typical of the Shit Romney mentality that continues today.

If Roe v. Wade is overturned tomorrow, which it wont be, abortion will not be illegal. It will be up for the states to decide. He wants the federal government completely out of marriage. He personally is against gay marriage but he wont trample a state's right if they make gay marriage legal...

Deciding life begins at conception wont change a damn thing.

He's saying that if the Federal government passed a law affirming that life officially begins at conception, that such procedures as abortion would then become, legally speaking, the ending of a life. Killing. Possibly even murder.

And, as we all know from the Trayvon/Zimmerman debacle, ending a life is a big deal.

The concern is that such actions as "killing a fetus" (as opposed to excising a parasitical tissue mass) would, functionally, become illegal.

In other words, one law would affect the implementation of the other.

Never understood why we define death as ceasing of brain function but we want life to begin before brain functioning (thought my bio teacher said 4th-5th month, but I could be wrong. Science was awful for me).

Its not about how we define death. It's the principle of not letting women have the final say of what they can or can't do with their bodies and then not supporting government programs to help single mothers take care of their children when they can't afford it.
