I stop whatever I'm doing to watch the caveman in the airport every time I hear that background music.

What's your favorite GEICO caveman commercial?

To be honest, I really hate those commercials. I mean, who has ever said "it's so easy a caveman could do it?" That phrase would never ever be uttered if not for them needing a stupid premise for a commercial. Though I like the music in that one.

This is very true... But it's almost no different from any of the other dumbass commercials people love.

"OMG, saying 'Big hucking chicken' instead of 'big fucking chicken' is so clever!"

There is no arguing that there are many, many, many stupid commercials out there... but that doesn't mean I can't dislike them because they all blend together.
Furthermore, not all commercials are dumb.

On this subject, what's the deal with the PS3 ads on the TV now? Does anyone get those?

Yeah they're saying you should buy the PS3 for $600 because of its monolith-esque powers.

Don't get the PS3 at all, but then I'm not their target either. I still like a lot of the ESPN promos. The Vonage girl who wants to swim with the "dolphins" is a lot like my wife (looks, not blondeness tg), so I get a lot of mileage out of that when I want to tease her.

My fav is the one where the GEICO rep is in the restaurant with the two cavemen , and they show him how intelligent they are when they order sophisticated food like the roast duck.

"I'll have the roast duck with the mango salsa"... lol. I like the first one. They haven't shown it in a long time. I had to look it up on youtube. The cavemen hear that slogan on tv and one stands up and says "Whats that supposed to mean? You hear that?" The other one is on his laptop and says "that is really condescending."

Another one I forgot about. They are filming a Geico commercial, and they say that slogan. One of the guys filming is a caveman. He throws down the boom mic and says "not cool", and storms off... hehe

Yeah I like that one in the airport too.

"Everywhere I go
there's always something to remind me
of another place in time"

lol that song is perfect. Theyre all funny

Pecker "REMIND ME"is the song your refering done by a band called ROYKSOPP an indie music group from Norway:cool: (chorus)
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me,
Will remind, will remind, will remind me.

It's only been a week,
The rush of being home in rapid fading.
Prevailing to recall
What I was missing, all that time in England

Has sent me aimlessly,
On foot or by the help of transportation,
To knock on windows where
A friend no longer live, I had forgotten.

(chorus)

And everywhere I go,
There's always something to remind me
Of another place and time
Where love that travelled far had found me.

We stayed outside til two,
Waiting for the light to come back,
But hid in talk I knew,
Until you asked what I was thinking.

(chorus)

Brave men tell the truth,
A wise man's tools are analogies and puzzles,
A woman holds her tongue,
Knowing silence will speak for her.

So now I'll never know,
As you will only sleep beside me,
And everywhere I go...

(chorus)
(repeat)

It's only been a week,
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
The rush of being home in rapid fading.
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
Prevailing to recall
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
What I was missing all that time in England
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me.)

Has sent me aimlessly
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
On foot or by the help of transportation,
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
To knock on windows where
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me,)
A friend no longer live, I had forgotten.
(Will remind, will remind, will remind me.)

I like the Geico caveman series. It nonthreateningly makes fun of people's prejudices.

These are part of my favorite campaign though -

Did you see that?

Shoot it!

Probably because I'm a redneck.:icon16:

Yes, I like those. It's funny that they try to make it look like actual caught footage. lol

i know. i need to get over it. but geico dropped my ass 14 years ago cuz some high school twat HIT ME on leesburg pike. he ran a red light and broadsided me. it was obvious. my car spun out all over the road and i landed in the ditch. but, they considered me high risk for having an accident so i got dumped.

fuck geico and the gecko and the caveman. ;-)

Anyone wonder if Geico has two different advertising companies doing their ads?

The Caveman vs the Gecko doesn't seem to make any sense to me. Why have two different campaigns? Personally, I'm all for the caveman. The last 7 or 8 gecko commercials have really been lacking in orignality and that accent on the gecko is like fingernails on a blackboard.
