The Government Officials wrestling with this issue are no different than what we see as examples within this group. People become so inflamed with their feelings and opinions that they are unable to see or look at the other viewpoint and what it was that caused the individuals to reach the conclusions that they have.

One thing that has to be really viewed and thought about is the mantra of the ultra conservatives. On October 23, 1947 Ronald Reagan was called in as President of the Screen Actors Guild to testify about alleged control of that organization by "Communist" influences. At the end of his testimony the part of great significance is his statement regarding a majority being run by a very small well organized minority. This has been the mantra of the ultra conservatives and their relationship to the Republican Party. The majority of Republicans do not share the views of the extremists, but it is currently the extremists running the show.

It is the political special interests who would stand to lose money that are funding the screaming ultra conservatives that are in turn making a mess and bringing about a stalemate with regards to any meaningful health care plan that does not reward and place billions of additional dollars in profit in the hands of their benefactors.

What bothers me is that if one always follows the money, one will find out where their representatives have their interest. If the Republican Party for example were to mention the words "audit" towards private corporations for investigative purposes they money going into Republican campaigns would be diverted to Democrats trying to short circuit change in that manner.
