the elephant in the room...i think this is one of the things that's spawning just as many issues in the gay community as the promotion of bareback sex but no one is willing to discuss it. racism in the gay community thinly veiled as a personal preference is at an all time high...porn sites aren't exactly helping by proliferating a standard either.

you really addressed where there's an issue in your very own post. being a member of the LGBT community - may i as you a question? how many times have you come across ads (if you've every used personal ads) where people will place such information as "sorry, only into white guys" or "no black guys please" "no asians" and the like?

there's an example being set in adult entertainment by the largest producers of such media. they set and perpetuate a standard for what's to be considered attractive and what's not. it's not just in our community, it's the media at large, but there's no denying that within our community it's exacerbating a real problem...

As far as SC using bareback scenes now...condomless doesn't always mean unsafe and condoms don't equate to always being safe. Condoms are safer, yes, but there are ALWAYS risks involved with sex....straight or gay. Rather than making a huge ordeal out of this situation (by which, you are only promoting the site, wether you realize it or not) simply cancel your membership and do not support those sites that have condomless sex. Feel free to contact the site and explain why you're cancelling. As other may have done the same thing, the site and its owners may realize that they are losing loyal viewers. However, looking at it from another view, tastes change, demand changes, audiences change, and in order to keep with demand, the supply must change. Using an example from earlier, restaurants change their menus to keep up with demand. And while some may not like the change and seek other venues, other people will be brought in with the "new and improved." We don't always get our way, so we deal with the change. I think this may be one of those situations, at least for the moment. If enough people complain, I'm sure there will, once again, come change.

On the third hand, they shouldn't hire models of non-white races just because they need more non-white models if the model is not actually attractive.

What I am is a 36 year old man who grew up in the time when people actually took this seriously. In the 80s, when I was being educated, thousands of gay men were dying of this every month. What people seem to have forgotten is that people are still dying, HIV/AIDS is still out there, and there is still no cure. Why that seems to be of no concern to some people is mind-boggling to me.

I think the solution to the OP's problem is simple: don't watch/pay for Sean Cody! If you are so upset about it, don't watch it. The only thing you are doing now is giving SC free advertising.
