If you're thinking of doing straight porn then go for it. You wont get paid very well however -- the women are the well paid ones. Yeah, some men get paid well (such as afforementioned Ron, and a selection of others) but 99% of straight male porn actors are literally a breathing dildo. The porn industry isn't anywhere near as glamourous as most believe it to be.
Well you're in LA, which is quite frankly a breeding ground for porn studios and companies. It may be worth just contacting a few websites that you know of, sending in some shots of full body and cock. They may not reply however, and they may also be fucking brutal - so brace yourself!

Take a look at adult production company listings or one of the adult staffing web sites and start your research from there.
I started working for a porn production company here in the UK about eight years ago and quickly realised that it was hard work,yes fun sometimes but very rarely a sexual situation,with camera men,assistants,photographers and make-up artists all there.The heat of the lights and the pressure to perform to a high standard every single time with a stranger whom you may not even find attractive made the novelty of it all wear off very quickly.
I work on the other side of the camera now, the money is better and the work is far more regular.
I say have a go though,just remember the industry is nothing like you imagine it to be,look after your appearance,ie skin tone,body hair and body tone all count and also remember as has been said before ,you will be the person earning the least money on set and often be the least important person on set,guys can sometimes just be a prop.

I've watched a few things on getting in the business just for the simple fact that I was, and still sort of, interested in myself. So, I found out it is best to get some good portfolio shots. Some real serious ones, nothing rinky dinky. also, put tha tportfolio together, ship it in with some information that would be required for a shot and treat it professionally when and if you come in for an interview. Also, be mentally prepared for it. A lot of people in your life will take you differently simply for the fact that they know of you, or know you are in the business.
So, if you are serious about this, go ahead. Just know the ramifications of getting into the business.
