Please, I beseechyou, a little help. I can't function properly until I can get this song out of my head. AND! I can't get this song out of my head until I sing it. Assistance is requested and required.

A nice boy got me hooked on InuYasha. The ending theme is Come by Namio Amuro. It's beautiful, actually. If you like this sort of thing. Apparently, I do. (I did not know that about myself.) So. Anyone able to lend a hand? Anyone know what the lyrics mean while we're at it?

Hehe, the trick was figuring out that they'd transliterated "Namio" as "Namie" at that site, otherwise it didn't show up on google.

You know, something told me this should just be a private message to you. Thanks. It never occurred to me that the person who gave me the song might have typo-ed the name.

    Is that a common mispelling?

Whatever combination of Japanese characters it is that makes words end in "-io" in transliterated, looking them up under "-ie" as well always seems to yield more results. In this case, there are just 142 google results for Namio Amuro come, as opposed to 173,000 for Namie Amuro come !!! I also never put the speech-marks around Japanese names (to denote a set phrase), because more often than not, they're written in the Japanese order on webpages, i.e. as Amuro Namie, which wouldn't come up if you searched for "Namio Amuro" rather than Namio Amuro.

When I went hunting this morning, I stumbled upon these. At the time, they just helped plant the song more firmly in my head. I think I can sleep now. Thanks guys!

Thank you for this. I know pecious little about Japanese, or any language, really outside of English and Spanish. My voice teacher has asked me to learn German and Italian. Care to volunteer to be my tutor? You will tutor me in my fantasies either way.

What I love best, is how in this vid, when she's singing, the voice is offset from the vid (could be a youtube thing), giving the effect of an old Godzirra movie.

Personally, my fav song by her is "Try Me", but that may just be because of some slutty ulterior motive. Oddly, I tried to like "How to be a girl", but just couldn't get into it.
