Jack Venice Turns Himself In; Charges of Second Degree Rape and First Degree Burglary

PULLMAN, Wash. -- A pornographic film actor sought on allegations he was involved in the sexual assault of a Washington State University student surrendered to Pullman police Wednesday.

Christopher Jack Reid, 25, was arrested by Pullman police and was to be taken to the Whitman County Jail, said Penni Reavis, a police department employee. He was wanted for investigation of second-degree rape, first-degree burglary, attempted residential burglary and two counts of residential burglary.

Reid, who makes porno films under the name "Jack Venice," has retained Spokane attorney Chris Bugbee, who did not immediately return a telephone call seeking comment Wednesday.

Police reports say a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority awoke early on Sept. 13 to find two men in her sorority room, who then fled. She told police she believes she was sexually assaulted in her sleep.

Kyle Schott, 23, a WSU student, told officers that he watched as Reid "spooned" with the victim and touched her as she slept, according to court papers. Schott said he handed Reid a condom, and the victim said she believed the sound of a condom package being opened may have awakened her, court documents said.

Reid, who lives in Los Angeles, has appeared in more than 80 adult movies.

Schott was arrested Friday in Pullman and is free on $100,000 bail. He faces charges of first-degree burglary and first-degree rape for the attack at the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.

Schott also is charged with two counts of residential burglary and one count of attempted burglary in connection with break-ins at the Pi Beta Phi house and the Delta Gamma house at WSU
