x704's post is right on target. I'm amazed and terribly amused at how many posters have expressed some level of offense at the idea of a dildo in the shape of or with the image of the Christ on it. Seems rather common to me. I've never seen a Jesus dildo in a Catholic religious tchotcke shop in the USA where one goes to pickup a new rosary or votive icon of one's favorite saint. But just cross the border into the country of our neighbors to the south and you'll find what northerners consider "sacrilegious" Jesus dildoes sold throughout Mexico and ALL Central and South American countries.

Not got to Central or S.America yet. I have been to Spain quite a few times but never around Christmas and haven't found the cacagero yet.

You wouldn't find such icons in Asia or India where I have travelled so there you go...

I saw that Dildo on a gothic porn website a few days ago.

If you see a girl with a cradle of filth T shirt she probably has jackhammer Jesus in 6 different colors.

I wouldn't find it personally offensive so much as disrespectful to others. Besides, I like my sexual pleasure undiluted by the whiff of hypocrisy I might feel if I came to Jesus in a way he never meant to proffer.

Agreed.

It part of that whole "Jesus was a cunt" "Your mother should have swallowed" line of thought these weirdos have these days.

Words for the sake of shock rather than insight.

I kinda laughed. I can see how someone would want this, you can't tell me there is no woman on earth that wants to do Jesus. With as in love and obsessed as some people get with Jesus, I can see them loving this. I dunno, something for everyone. I have seen corn dildos but I don't see pagans getting upset.

LOL!

I find it abit weird, but i dont know about offensive. I personally have a fear of god to some extent, so mixing sex and religion seems dangerous/weird to me.

I don't view the jackhammer Jesus dildo as a weird object. Nor would I view the mixing of sex and religion as dangerous or weird. Sex worship was part of the nature worship of the ancients. They revered and worshiped the male organ of generation in antiquity and made religious representations of it - where the making and use of such religious symbols still persists today.

The cross-shaped dildo is a vivid reminder that the cross symbolized the erect phallus in religion many thousands of years before Christianity was founded and its 550 AD adoption by Christians as a Christian symbol.

Who's to say Jesus didn't have sexuality? What exactly is offensive about seeing him as a sexual being?

Aren't nuns "brides" of Christ, who may not taste of feel the flesh of another man?

Ironic how so many sexual deviants only draw the line of "right" and "wrong" at what they find personally offensive. It makes the outrage a bit disingenuous.

That is so insulting to a lot of people.

Some people would say that grown adults believing in imaginary persons is insulting too.

I like the joke Jesus. Maybe some people will draw the logical conclusion that Jesus is a joke.

Or at least more joke than "real". Get a fucking grip.

This takes evangelism to a new level. Is it reserved only for use on non-believers in hopes they will catch the spirit?

As soon as you bring religion into anything, someone is offended somehow. ANYTHING.

You ain't shitting.

Once during a seminar the speaker was referencing dates and how not all world calendars used the Christian BC/AD system to reference the year. I mentioned the use of BCE (before common era) as it was basically secular and used the same points in time. A person sitting near me turned red in the face shouting "How dare you try to separate the two!"

Wow.

Religion and politics, it would seem.

In all seriousness, this would make an awesome gift for my girlfriend, who has been looking for a good dildo.
