Edited to add: doesn't look like it though.
Personally, I think MLB has a vested interest in making sure the Cubs DO make it - the ratings for the whole playoff run have been phenomenal - and they will go straight in the toilet if Boston and Chicago are out of it. Sorry, jackinman, my friend - but no one wants to see the Yankees AGAIN outside of the Tri-State Area.
