I mean at this point I have to seriously wonder if because he’s an expat living in the UK with an English accent y’all profiling him as a “Paki-Brit” (pardon my language). Where is the information saying he’s South Asian aside from a British accent?
I have encountered one other source of Desi porn (appreciation of, not fetishizing Desi beauty) who included Jafar in the Desi content and I corrected the content manager (know he includes Jafar as an “honorary Desi” lol).
Thinking he’s Desi, Persian, Pashtun, etc… that’s one thing- that’s innocent. Leveling accusations of appropriation (let’s be honest, accusing him of ethnic mockery, which is what I feel you’re doing) is actually, sociologically speaking, pretty serious and hefty. I personally think even if he was South Asian there is nuance but it genuinely doesn’t matter what I think because appropriation is not rendered nbd because I a random white person thinks- using a piece of culture bond motifs, dress, or ritualized tradition for anything other than its de novo purpose is negligent at best. You know this, I understand, just for people who aren’t as aware of the situation.
If you have evidence I will be the first to say I was wrong and I apologize. However I have not seen even a prima facie argument for him being South Asian instead of Kuwaiti.
