If he is actually gay then the marriage won't last. Mine didn't. I was married to a woman but she went kind of crazy, in part because I was gay. So we divorced and now I am done with women. I am still an active LDS member however even though I am "out" and gay.
Well he came out as gay in college, left his mission early in part Because he was having a hard time denying is gay urges, Came home and immediately dove head 1st into the gay porn industry. I would call him gay. As most of us know marrying a woman certainly doesn't change your sexuality.
I think that there is a large spectrum between "straight" and "gay" for many people. Yes - I think there are some who are hard wired 100% either. I had a boyfriend for a summer after college and KNEW I was gay - then joined the Navy and married a woman as part of my act - to whom I was married for 23 years. I simply was able to shove the gay somewhere deep inside of me. I identify as gay, but I'm not averse to women. Sexually I'm way more attracted to men. I don't plan on ever having sex with a woman again. So - if he's able to do it - he's able to do it. Studies show that if he is more on the gay side, he'll be unhappy in a mixed orientation marriage.
Fully gay men have been marrying woman almost since the beginning of marriage. Especially when marriages were arranged. It's my personal opinion that Jake is gay and I don't expect him to be happy. As he most likely found out. God is not interested in making gay people heterosexual.
You may be right - I may be right - we both may be wrong. Whatever - he knows where he is now in his life. And that can change over time as he lives that life. Whatever the case is, I hope he finds happiness, even temporarily.
He may not be trying to impress anyone. Maybe he is. At this point, we're just mind reading. Different people react differently to indoctrination in a cult. Neural pathways are sometimes dug deep. Just because one leaves a belief behind, doesn't mean its easy to give up on things that are integral to the belief.

Shaw went on a Mormon mission to Italy - like all good mormons do. If I remember right, he married a woman and they had a child. She divorced him. He fell into alcohol and drugs a bit. Moved to California trying to be a model - Sean Cody found him and he did a bunch of scenes. He got his life together and married a second woman. She found out about the gay porn - and then when she found out about the extent of it - she left him. He's married to wife number three and they are realtors. He does still have sex with men on the DL (saw a video of my friend and him - no face, but voice, body and dick - it was definitely him. He lives in Texas where he grew up.
He's gay so the fact that he still has sex with men is no surprise. It's just sad that he feels the need to still be straight. This is the world we live in. Societal pressure to be straight is still tremendous despite progress.
