hey guys iv never been to japan but i have a MASSIVE facination with the country, but that leads me loasly to my question.

i find japanese guys hot and having seen some japanese porn, they blur out the penis' in the vids so i dont really have a deffinative answer to my question:

are the majority Circumcised or Uncircumcised?

oh good, any one else care to add anything else to this? i was thinking about this and i didnt think it would be part of their religion but i was thinking maybe it mite be because they are very in awe almost of the west and everything seems to becoming "westernised" over there so i thought maybe (unfortunatly) that this pointless tren had migrated over aswell.

Cicumcision is not unheard of, but it isn't a widespread automatic practice.

You may find may guys in locker rooms with exposed head, but that just because they retract their skin when naked.

I have only been to Japan twice and in baths three times, so my experience is very limited. It did seem though that almost all the Japanese men had their glans exposed, as stated above. There didn't seem to be the bunching behind the head, however, as you would expect with most European men and many you could mistake for being circumcised.

Is this because Japanese men have generally thinner or shorter foreskins than Europeans ? I couldn't tell, but there was a visible difference.

Wake up guys! It was introduced as a fanatical Christian cleanliness ritual at the turn of the Century... a fad that the Japanese and all other developed cultures did not need, other than for recruitment purposes, which, of course, has only increased the coffers of those "churches", and added more anxiety among Japanese men.

Beanie, I live in Japan, and the men here are uncut. Very rarely do you see a circumcised man in the onsen (public bathhouse/spa type deals). However, like some have pointed out before, they're not exactly hooded the same way. Subtle differences in the way their heads are shaped and the length of the foreskin can lead you to almost believe that they are circumcised, but they are in large part not.

Also, if I were you, I'd be more concerned about the massive amounts of (generally straight) pubic hair they have. It's uncouth to shave or trim down there, and I often get stared at for doing so (or so I'm hoping...).

Also, one last thing, the gay scene here is practically non-existent. There's a few gay bars and hangouts, but mostly it's a non-public and non-binding lifestyle. Most of the guys you'll pick up in "gay bars" aren't going to be your typical "I'm gay, and that's that" westerners you're most likely used to. Many of them have wifes and families at home waiting for them, and don't consider themselves set in a "gay" lifestyle, but rather attracted to what they're attracted to. It's pretty common for westerners to come to Japan and explain that they're gay and be immediately asked when they plan to stop the shananagins and get married.

There's no discrimination against homosexuals here (other than the occasional denied access to "love hotels"), but it's definitely not talked about, nor considered a long-term meaningful thing that results in marriage.

in mainland China, the circumcision either cuase by health problems or excessive length of the foreskin. However in Hong Kong people might do it just for pleasure.
