I'm sure I'm not the only person that has had to deal with this type of thing. How do you deal with people getting jealous for you liking posts, commenting on pictures/albums, conversing with others on this site? Because for me it's becoming a bit of a pain.

No one is jealous of me - not even when I had a huge gallery. I still make pretty liberal use of the ignore feature though, but I don’t use cause I’m jealous or feel that that others are jealous. I use it in the way that Marie Kondo teaches about housecleaning - those people do not bring me joy. :)

I guess I'm not understanding.

How do you deal with people getting jealous for you liking posts = Are they telling you that they're jealous and or they don't like your likes or what you've said/post or are they commenting on the same thing but with negative comments? They do have that right just like you to like or dislike something they see or have read.

commenting on pictures/albums = JUst like your comments or likes. Everyone has a right to comment about someones pics postive or negative. So many faked shopped stolen pics and members claiming it is them in said pic. I will call someone out when needed. Doesn't mean I'm against what you like or dislike, but giving my own opinion.

conversing with others on this site = Have you received messages telling/asking you not to talk to another member? Do they or are they actually telling you not to talk to JoeBlow because they don't like them for this or that reason? or no reason at all? Just telling you they don't like you talking to said person(s)?/

There is not one person in LPSG who is going to like you 100% or dislike you. We are an odd creature of nature as we think we are better than others at times or we feel inferior at times so we have to lash out.

Nothing said here in LPSG should be taken personally as this is the internet where nothing is real. That's including personas pics and who knows. Take it with a grain of salt and IF you feel you're being attacked or harassed? File a report or like everyone else. IGNORE function does wonder

How does someone express jealousy on an online community? We've all seen disagreements that devolve into nastiness, but I'm not quite sure that's what you're talking about. Can you elaborate? The above advice to use the ignore or block function is helpful, but now I'm curious about how someone specifically expresses jealousy.

Well I checked out your profile @JT22cm and from what I saw? I saw nothing out of the norm. No insults made towards your pics. Positive comments in your profile and nothing negative said in your recent activity. So this "jealousy" must be going on privately. If so? You should send copies of said harassment/jealousy to the ModSquad Notable Members | LPSG and let them handle it. Or like we've said. Block function and Ignore.

Like I said before. It is the net so what harm is actually being done. Don't let what you read online trip your ego. Take it for what it is and move on

Never experienced it on here but on other adult social media platforms. There's like a possessiveness; they get offended or take your liking someone else's pics as an indicator about how much u like theirs. I think it stems from a self-esteem thing.

Thank you, @jao34 , for explaining that. I've never come across this phenomenon, and it seems to border on creepiness a bit, since, as you mentioned, it stems from possessiveness, and no one come here for that.

I am sorry for the lack of compassion but you need to ignore a D

i think this ties back to the “why do people lie” issue; perhaps it’s not jealousy per se, but at times it’s clear that there is trolling, favoritism, and so on; i’m not complaining, just stating the obvious.

most people probably don’t care, or they accept that as the “price” of being on here; actually, that’s how i see it; but i could see how feelings get hurt easily; let’s face it: a lot of baggage is unpacked on here, both literally and figuratively; hurt feelings are inevitable.

My reference, is more like over possessiveness, than of Jealousy . In chat member -A- gets pissed off, because member -B- said hello to you and you replied back. Even if member -B- and I had chat history, going back for years, before I knew member -A- existed.. This was one of the reasons I fell out of love with the chat room. I felt guilty just being polite and saying how are you .

Well I just looked at your pics. I have to admit I'm a bit jealous of your dick.

Wow! I never knew that people actually expressed jealousy/possessiveness because people chat online with other people. It's a sad commentary on how some people are when it comes to their perceptions of reality and the internet.
