    I started jelqing everyday starting on the first of this month, and haven't had an orgasm since...so about 4 days. That's an eternity for me since I usually do it 1-3 times a day. The reason I haven't is cause a few people have told me that when you cum your body's natural reaction is to constrict the blood vessels in the penis, basically nullifying the PE work out. I had fun jerking off and edging a few times but just having to stop cause I was unsure, but I'm reaching a level of horniness that is dangerous to society if I step outside. What are the "rules" or tips for masturbation and jelqing?

    jelging - i think he means edging.

    No I meant jelqing, the PE exercise. Edging is just what I decided to do since I heard you weren't supposed to cum while doing the jelqing exercise.

    Yeah I'd tried the Jelquing technique (a friend on IM told me about it) and I really liked it, and I do think it made me a little bigger when flaccid but it made me INCREDIBLY horny. Because you're really NOT supposed to cum, but honestly a guy's gotta CUM sometime? So I'm not sure of the rules but I know what you mean. I eventually came while jelquing.....and decided I'd let it go too long at that point....

    As far as I know, there is a 3-5 hour rule on when you can "pop your top" after a jelqing session.

    I have had the same probelm. My suggestion is stop jelquing for awhile. You'll get an erection more easily and will cum more easily. Take atleast 2 weeks off. The orgasms will come back and you manhood will grow as it recovers. It's alot like muscle growth.

    There some misunderstanding going on in this thread, my ability to have an erection and orgasm are fine while doing the exercise. Its just I was told that its a bad idea to cum because after you do your body constricts the blood vessels which negates what you're trying to do with the exercise. So does any understand what I'm actually asking and what the answer is?

    Yes you're free to ejaculate, just not after a session. I hope you're complementing the jelqing with Kegels. They'll really help the blast factor.

    When you have an ejaculation, your body releases a hormone called prolactin that essentially shuts down your interest in sex and causes your sex organs to stop working harder than they usually do. Part of what prolactin does is causing the valves in your penis to open and allow blood to flow out so your erection subsides. If you do not ejaculate then no prolactin is released and your body gradually ramps down the function of these organs which are being fed all this oxygen and nutrient rich blood to help them do the extra work that sex requires. If you don't ejacuate, they don't know what's going on so they stay in stand-by until they finally determine you're really not going to shoot a load. THAT period, which can range from minutes to hours depending on your age and physiology, is when you do not want to ejaculate because your penis will still be benefiting from the jelqing session.

    A good test to see if you're there is to simply judge the state of your penis. Is it hanging longer and heavier than usual? If it is, postpone ejaculating until it's back to its normal resting state. That's all you need to do. No magic, no definite time periods, nothing esoteric.

    If you're looking to abstain from ejaculating for whatever reason, you should know that any built up semen (from "edging", sex, masturbation, etc.) that isn't expressed through ejaculation will be voided the next time you urinate.

    I often advise men that are having problems with getting too erect during their PE sessions to ejaculate about 15 minutes prior to their workouts. This advice usually led to improved workouts!

    The key to being able to ejaculate after a PE session (a painful must for some men) and it not affecting your gains depends on the exercise sequences that you perform AND the fitness level of your penis-
    -If you've been doing progressive stamina work for any length of time, a mere ejaculation should not affect your penis badly enough to affect gains
    -If you finish your workout with the "Stop and Start" [an exercise that ends in ejaculation], you will have expanded the tissues and driven more blood to your penis than had you not done anything at the end of your workout
    -A properly performed cool down using hot wraps will drive the blood back into the penis
    -You can also do erect kegels throughout the day to negate any of the blood draining effects of ejaculation
    -You may even try wearing a cock ring after you ejaculate to avoid your penis fron shriveling up entirely.
    As you can see, there are ways around this issue.

    I am aware of the Chinese study that shows a spike in testosterone levels after 7 days of abstinence. What I don't understand is why so many men, after reading this study, would subject themselves to abstinance in the hope of making gains! If you read through the study, you'll note (as guyeh7 stated) where it states: "No regular fluctuation was observed following continuous abstinence after the peak." It should also be noted that additional testosterone in your bloodstream will not increase your penis size if you are a healthy adult.

    Do you wish to raise your testosterone and growth hormone levels at will? EXERCISE! Regular exercise, especially intense whole body exercises like squats and deadlifts, will raise your testosterone and GH levels.

    Ejaculate is composed of seminal plasma and [by a small percentage of volume] sperm. The actual hormonal content in semen is quite small.

    Most professionals agree that a healthy sex life INCREASES hormonal output. The genitourinary system is like any other set of organs in the body- use it or lose it!

    If you're trying to maximize penile blood flow, you should try to avoid consuming caffeine and other vasoconstrictors. Theses substances will cause much more harm to your progress than any ejaculation would! If you need to consume these substances, do so several hours before or after your PE session.
