Jelqing Tips

    Hey guys,

    I'm new to the forum and had a few questions. There seems to be a wealth of knowledge here, so I figured this would be a great spot to ask.

    I started Jelqing about two month ago and have been using the dry jelq technique. Unfortunately, due to the lack of video footage that I've been able to acquire, I don't exactly know whether or not I'm doing them right.

    I start off at the base of the penis like most instructions say, and am able to use my foreskin to Jelq up without any lubricant. I've read in a number of forums that keeping the pressure in the penis is pretty important, and this is where I run into trouble. When I Jelq up to the glans, my foreskin becomes taught and prevents my other hand from being able to slide up with the same motion. To alleviate this problem, I've been releasing my grip slightly, pulling the skin down with the same hand, then repeating the same motion (with the same hand). I switch hands every 50 or so when I start to get tired. Is this release of pressure preventing me from achieving maximum gains?

    Also, lately I've caught myself really gripping tightly. Is there such a thing as too tight?

    Lastly, I've noticed a reduced ability to get an erection. When I first started, about two months ago, I was able to pull off an erection without needing visual stimulation. Now that I've started PE exercises I can't seem to become erect without looking at porn. I should clarify that this only occurs when I'm trying to perform PE exercises. Any other time, I can think about something or use physical stimulation and I become erect.

    Are you using too much force? Jelqing is supposed to be pretty light. Consider that you might be doing too much, if you have a pliable, not "thick and sturdy" tunica "shaft" you do not need very much.

    After a while, your dick gets used to the feeling of jelqs and what not, making it more difficult to maintain an erection. As long as you can still get erections normally, its fine.

    It sounds like you're doing them right to me, but 50 dry jelqs sounds like a lot of volume for what's supposed to be a pretty intense exercise. And it IS dangerous to squeeze too hard if you have an erection and from what I know about dry jelqs, you should be roughly 80% erect to do these. Just make sure you pay attention to the signs your body is giving you and take it slow.

    What's your full routine normally?

    Thanks for all your feedback, guys.

    I find that near the end of my workout, I may be using too much force... I'll be sure to watch out for that.

    As for my routine, I like to do as follows:

    10-15 min with a warm compress for warm up
    100 dry jelqs
    20 squeezes
    OM as per Big Al's guide
    200 1 second kegels
    1 100 second kegal
    10-15 min with a warm compress for warm down

    I do this 4 days a week every other day.

    I've been using a dry jelq instead of lubricated because my foreskin seems to get in the way when performing wet jelqs. I read Big Al's guide, but didn't seem to see any videos on dry jelqing, and though Thunder's has a guide for it, I couldn't find the video either... I may just be blind =S
