Sadly it's just trial and error, I guess... I'd say be very clear about that from the beginning and acknowledge and accept some potential buddies you like are gonna pass and decline the offer, but it'll depend greatly on how the other guy deals with this situation himself. I can also imagine some would be looking for that but then get carried away with the excitement, so maybe explore making it clear during the moment as well? As if they say they want more (or try to go for it) you just tell them it's just jerking off that you want and you guys can continue if he wants or stop... and try again next time
