Viagra really isn't supposed to be used for recreational purposes. However, many still do and enjoy the benefits. Although there are side effects, about the only long term side effect from prolonged Viagra usage is building up a tolerance. Your main concern though should be priapism (meaning you've had an erection for wayyyy too long).

That's not the only long term effect, you have to be very careful because prolonged used of viagra can cause blindness. Seriously!

Even if I was having some erectile difficulties, I don't think I would take and ED drug just for jerking off.

I've stated it in countless threads here on LPSG: Viagra should not be used as a recreational drug. It especially should NOT be used if there is any possiblity of drug interaction. Taking a Viagra and snorting some poppers, for instance, can kill you.

People always talk about using the ED pills as if you have to take the whole pill. And they also talk about it ED as if it's something that you either have or don't have.

Most men experience a slow gradual decline in erectile capacity over the course of their lives. A small amount of one of the ED pills can offset this.

You can get a pill splitter and take a much smaller dose than the entire pill. You can adjust the dosage to get the effect that you want while minimizing the side effects. And you save money in the process.

Thanks Steeler for providing a voice of reason. My urologist in fact WANTED me to try it solo first, before trying it with my partner to make sure I understood its effects, and its effectiveness. It was great! I wouldn't use it to jerk off all the time, but I've been known to use a little bit of it here & there when things were particuarly ... un...hard. I don't use it all that often but when I do, it's maybe 1/4 of a pill.

Yes of course you are so right steeler! 15-20 mg of a 100mg tablet often enhances the quality and intensity of orgasm for a guy of a certain age. If you are looking for distance shots or quantity of ejaculate or just seeking an overpowering thrill, a little viagra indeed goes a very long way!

Yes, the directions state, "In the event of an erection lasting more than four (4) hours, you should find another woman".

I have taken Viagra and LEvitra.

I've found that Levitra has less side effects, and less Hype of viagra.

I also only use it for when Im going to have sex with a partner rather than just J/O.
(It's amazing how badly depression/anxiety can affect the dick!)

At $10.00 a pill, I usually conserve (IVe still got some left from about 2 yrs ago). I only take a quarter of a pill to half a pill. It still gives me the edge for around 2-3 hours.

But anybody using that drug just to have a 4 hour hardon, that doesnt need it for ED, is askin for trouble.

That's also the common Mis-Conception (even seen in "The Naked Mile").
Some people MAY have an erection for that long, but thats not how the medication was intended to work.
You have to have sexual stimulation to get hard, and it requires your body to tell your dick when to get hard. The medication helps this process ONLY by forcing more blood into your dick when your body tells it to.
When the stimulation goes away, so does your erection. (But, the heart rate, blood pressure, and pressurized feeling does not, for another 2-3 hours)

It would be wise to check your blood pressure before, and then after taking it just to see the side effects it has on your body.
Anybody that may be a heart patient candidate (Like myself) quickly find that it's a no-no pill for recreational j/o fun.

I know I sound Hum-Drum...but rather than having somebody on here OD, or be permanently disabled from it... I'd rather speak out.
