I am not killing any fun. The taking and distribution of someone's nude pictures is fully illegal. This is not someone who took the pictures themselves and they were leaked. It is someone secretly recording these actors while they are in their most vulnerable state which along with being against the law is also against the rules of this site. It is no different than if someone installed a camera in someone's house, a locker room, or private bathroom.

Normally I'd just ignore this, but as someone who saw the show and respects how serious and important the story is, as well as seeing how openly the cast spoke about how violated they felt, I cannot believe that anyone would still be seeking them out knowing how they felt that the pictures are out there. Seems pretty predatory to me.
I'd agree with your argument except a theatre stage is a public space. These actors seek out and sign on to projects like this with full knowledge they are displaying their emotional and physical vulnerabilities for an audience of strangers in full public view. If one does not want to be seen naked by strangers in public, then one should not be naked in front of strangers in public.

It would also be different if these actors were unknowingly being recorded undressed or showering in their dressing rooms by someone who snuck in. Appearing nude in a play in front of audiences carries with it the probability that someone might record something and it's unreasonable to expect otherwise. No different than if they appeared nude in a movie or on television and someone pulls their cell phone out in a movie theatre.

Is it still sleazy, yeah. But there’s a difference between this and someone filming an actor in their home, dressing rooms, public restrooms, or locker rooms. A naked actor on a public stage in front of an audience Cannot expect not to be seen or that audiences will avert their eyes. Being naked in public carries the likelihood one will be seen. I'm not saying that someone who records a nude performance like this is totally innocent or not slightly creepy and I'm definitely not arguing they are entitled to “document” it. (for lack of a better term).

to go total devil’s advocate, how is it that much different from people buying movies actors appear nude in then making screencaps and posting them online?

I get where you’re coming from but it's a bit much on a website where you and everyone else is here specifically to objectify people who willingly place their bodies out there to be seen and sexualized. No one here is a saint

It’s completely different from a movie because a movie is made FOR distribution. The point is that it can be viewed in all corners of the earth .
A play is for those who are in the theatre at that time . The argument about “they’re naked in a public space , they should expect it” doesn’t hold water because being naked in a changing room is the same thing . How is that different ?
Having said all this, I’m still complicit because I loved seeing the videos but im not a hypocrite . I KNOW I’m part of the problem but choosing to looking at the videos/pics but I acknowledge it.

Except no one is paying them to get naked in the changing rooms. His job was to get naked on a public stage in front of people With reasonable expectations he would be seen. There is a reasonable expectation for privacy when one is in a changing room because they aren't being paid to do it.

They're paid to get naked for their job which happens to be on a stage for paying members of the public. Non paying members of the public arent meant to see it. The theatre clearly states no recording. The fact we know what happens on that stage during the play is directly because rules were broken. Just because it is expected, doesnt mean it is justified.
What does being paid have to do with anything anyway ? If an underwear model is being paid to pose for a catalogue on a rooftop or even an indoor studio, it doesnt make it right that other people who walk past the studio who are also working in the building take secret videos and share them whilst completely naked. What if the accountant for the catalogue who is in the next room decided to take a video whilst on their lunch break and share them? The model was paid to get naked inbetween each garment so should they just expect to be seen?
Again, im not saying Jesse is even bothered by this. And again, I totally accept im perving over the videos too but Im doing so with full acknowledgement that it isnt correct.
