They're paid to get naked for their job which happens to be on a stage for paying members of the public. Non paying members of the public arent meant to see it. The theatre clearly states no recording. The fact we know what happens on that stage during the play is directly because rules were broken. Just because it is expected, doesnt mean it is justified.
What does being paid have to do with anything anyway ? If an underwear model is being paid to pose for a catalogue on a rooftop or even an indoor studio, it doesnt make it right that other people who walk past the studio who are also working in the building take secret videos and share them whilst completely naked. What if the accountant for the catalogue who is in the next room decided to take a video whilst on their lunch break and share them? The model was paid to get naked inbetween each garment so should they just expect to be seen?
Again, im not saying Jesse is even bothered by this. And again, I totally accept im perving over the videos too but Im doing so with full acknowledgement that it isnt correct.

When I went last year to one of the shows, Jesse came out fully erect. Even bigger than he is in the new videos. It was quite a sight to see.

When I saw it (opening night the first run) he was flaccid. Still impressive, but not nearly the monster everyone has talked about and now appears in videos circulating online. Either beginning to fluff before coming on stage was an artistic choice — e.g., sporting a semi/erect penis is meant to portray sexual-tension-meets-alpha-dominance in context — or it was not, in which case I’m left wondering about his intentions, especially because he signed up for a second run after pics/videos were released and there was so me much attention (included in interviews he gave) about his penis. Is Jesse an exhibitionist (or did the excessive attention on his nudity cause him to discover that he is one)? Is he highly vain? Did the pressure of the media attention and leaks make him feel like he needed to keep measuring up (literally) night? Did he - a straight actor - assume that a gay man would naturally appear semi/erect when in a shower with another man, even in such a charged context (the scene is very intense…)? It’s just always been very interesting to me why he progressively became so much more fluffed for these scenes (which some could consider distatestful in a serious play because it’s distracting), especially as the hype around his penis increased. This new 4k video on Twitter, if watched out of context, could almost be viewed as something pre-pornographic given the scene setting and Jesse’s clearly engorged penis! I find it all interesting. (Please, no unkind remarks about waxing philosophical on an LPSG thread. This is all meant to be fun and, whatever his intention, Jesse’s nudity is a true gift to the world.)

i actually think its not tied to the scene at all. in a way - its more vulnerable to be fully soft in front of people than it is to have a semi. ive been nude onstage before and there's a layer of privacy around being in that middle ground - no one really knows how big it is either way cause there's no firm (pun not intended) length to pin it too.

with any type of nudity on stage or screen someone is going to make a comment about your penis. its inevitable, especially with someone as famous as he is. so i think if there's gonna be a narrative he would rather it be about him being big and that he's in a good play, rather than him being small or so/so in a good play.

i also just find it hard to believe that jesse (along with others in the cast) are making conscious choices about their level of 'arousal' if we wanna call it that before a scene when its probably about vanity/insecurity. (hence hiram coming out pretty much erect cause his flaccid is probably not great for his ego - he'd rather people talk about him hard than than his "small dick" if that's even the case)
