She's down, but not out. She is a fantastic actress and could work if she chose to. Maybe she just feels the need to tour right now. To ground herself so to speak. I cannot imagine the huge challenge it would be to go on the road after so many years of abuse and self neglect. Especially if you are a Superstar Diva. As always, I'm keeping the faith. I pray she has good people around her and a very strone management team. GO WHITNEY! :)

she is a "fantastic actress"?

you're joking right? the BOdyguard? Waiting to Exhale? The Preachers Wife?

"fantastic" is not the word i would use to describe her "acting".

Julianne Moore and Cate Blanchett are "fantastic" actresses...Whitney Houston is not.

She recorded that song in 1992. Dolly Parton wrote it by the way. That was many years ago. She sounds pretty darn good for her age going by the link posted, which is a bootleg audience recording.

Okay, I was a bit overzealous using "Fantastic." She is talented enough to work in film. Is that better? :) Fantastic to me would really be Meryl Streep, Julie Roberts type talent. QUOTE=Flashy;2636404]she is a "fantastic actress"?

she was not talented enough to work in films, since she is obviously no longer working...people merely were capitalizing on her huge personality at the time.

Miley Cyrus has a movie too.

anyway, yes, i would agree that Streep is fantastic...but Julia Roberts? Cannot say she is in the class of Streep, Blanchett, Julianne Moore, etc.

I don't know if she has tried to work in film recently or not. I don't keep up with her very often. Well, she is just getting back into the real world again. I'll keep the faith that she can be successful once again. In both music and film. Thanks for your replies.

well, the film industry is not exactly knocking her door down...

sadly, the only thing i think she could manage is some type of reality tv appearance.

i do not know what her chances are in the music industry, but film is much less likely than music for her in the future.

I saw the Sydney show and she gave it her all. As such the concert was brilliant. If you are expecting Whitney from 20 years ago you will be disappointed. However if you go with an open mind you will be impressed. She is now much more interpretive and emotive. Whitney also developed a great rapport with the audience as she was VERY honest. Don't listen to the media.

No surprise. The media lives to get you at your worst possible moment then put it on the 24 hour cable shitfest.
