Jockstrap at gym

The way it should be. Generally the most comfortable workout attire.

Back in the day, when one went to Jr. High, a jock was required along with colored shorts and a white t-shirt for gym class. Coach would also do jock inspections to make sure everyone was strapped in class it was the same routine in high school, that was in the last 60's and early 70's. At that time there were also "dress codes" and such things as facial hair and length of ones hair was regulated, and this was public high school. Wearing a jock was a normal part of growing up, if a guy showed up in gym wearing boxers under his shorts he was marked down and sent back to change. Life was a bit different, and no one made a big deal about being strapped or taking showers before the bell. As it turns out, being strapped is very comfortable, nothing like it on a warm summer day out and about.

Putting my jock on any minute to head to the gym! When I'm done I usually take my jock with me to the showers and rinse/wash it. You can usually tell what I'm holding...and if you look at my ass close enough as I walk to the showers you can see the waist and strap lines on my body.

I don't think there's anything inherently strange about exercising in a jock but it is less common than underarmour for support. I first remember wearing UA my senior year in '03 and they have made jocks an endangered species since.

I like a sweat jock as much as the next guy. But I enjoy taking jock to the shower and hanging it on the nozzle or towel hook so all the other guys see it.

I don’t really understand the appeal of jockstraps beyond if you’re an exhibitionist and want to show off, or a voyeur who appreciates looking at other guys in them.

They just seem a bit redundant and uncomfortable as functional wear. Sure, they strap your jock up and keep it out of the way, but then, so do normal underwear, and they do so far more comfortably. The “strap” just seems like it would dig in, get twisted and move around underneath in unwanted directions.

No crack creep, but more importantly no sweaty ass. wet ass while you're working out is just nasty feeling.

I think I’ve seen perhaps two other people wearing them in London gyms apart from myself and my partner in the last few years. One tall muscle guy openly changing into a green Timoteo jock in the changing rooms when it was busy. Another was clearly wearing one under his Jed north shorts whilst working out and left them on top when he went to shower (changed next to me). Nice to see I’m not the only one sometimes!

Totally remember have jock checks as part of our oe grade!

I always wear one at the gym too and am probably the only one because it's in France and jockstrap never were popular here. (besides the martial arts crowd who wear them on top of their underwear just to keep the hard cup iin place)
