I'm always stunned at this topic, because to me, jockstraps are EVERYTHING about growing up and becoming a man, and it seems so obvious that I can't believe other people don't see it the same way. Of course, this is colored by experience. In the 70's EVERY guy at my school, virtually without exception, wore a jockstrap for PE and sports. Every one. When I was 11, I transferred to this school and saw for the first time, older guys in jockstraps. It's from a book called "The Arena of Masculinity" by Brian Pronger (as in PRONG! --nice name!). He says,

Sadly, I see no evidence whatsoever that they're "making a come back." I never see guys wearin them now, esp younger guys. Compression shorts or even boxers, astoundingly, seem to be what younger guys wear. Sad.

Fascination? How about you NEED to wear one if you actually work out? I know most people DON"T work out at a gym or barely break a sweat, but if you do really work out you need a jock strap to keep your junk from flopping all around!

just had to post this morning. was watching extreme cagefighting last night from Vegas...it might have been a tape...and the one match in particular was a jockstrap lovers heaven. both guys were straped up...one was clearly a Bike with the stripes and the other looke to be a wide band Duke. most of the match their jocks waistband was visible over the back of their trunks and many times the waistband was high enough to clearly show skin above and below it. and times when they were wrestling that their leg straps were visible too. some other matches were straped too..but a few were also spandex briefed.

those liners in mens swimtrunks are horrible! really..how can any man stand it! I either cut it out and wear a jock or just let it hang loose...depending on the trunks I am wearing. I have some spandex squarecut trunks that I wear nothing under, and some boardshorts that I wear the jock with..yellow jock for the yellow trunks, red jock for red trunks, black jock for the black trunks and white for the white and blue ones.
