Sad day. He was heavyweight champion when it meant something. He fought very honorably and treated his opponents honorably.
Even Muhammad Ali, who had called him an Uncle Tom and a gorilla, had good words for Joe today: "The world has lost a great champion. I will always remember Joe with respect and admiration."
I don't have much taste for boxing any more, but Philadelphia should do something in Joe Frazier's memory.
