I don't even think Kit (or Nick) is that buff, more like gays want their knight in shining armor.
A cute fantasy. Someone should tell gays Heartstopper was written by a woman. It’s pure fantasy. I’ve already seen depressed older gays feeling cheated they didn’t have such an experience in high school.

What does Heartstopper being writen by a woman, a queer woman at that, have to do with anything? So what if it's a fantasy? Every piece of queer media has to be sex-saturated or a depressing AIDS movie?

I think in the next season hopefully a lot of the focus shifts to Joe/Charlie. His storyline is developed more and he, rather than Nick, has the central "struggle" (though a lot of it is admittedly framed in Nick trying to help him). I think he'll perform well in those scenes and hopefully get some deserved credit for his performance

not the best thing, but I’m very excited to watch Joe through some of those scene. He really captivated me in some moments of season 1 so seeing him with some heavier stuff, he’s going to be so good

It matters bc there is no authentic gay voice here. Queer woman live different lives romantically than gay men. Its whatever. I never said anything about show having to be sex saturated or make it about AIDS.

I knew his costar would be more popular than him on LPSG and in general and have career after the show.Goes to show you how ppl are very superficial. I think it’s bc Kit is straight presenting.
Kit is much more famous though

You know that there its based on a comics right? And they have followed that one rather religiously so if it happens in the comic then probably. Have you read them?

I'm sure if you petition hard enough they will cancel the renewal. Or write in a new love interest. Or whatever it is you want to happen, but I'm not sure you know what that is beyond shitting on the series and its fans? You're literally not doing anything here but making shit up to stir the pot. Not much depth to it tbh

Why are you triggered that I mentioned the show is written by a women ? I enjoyed the show. It was cute. I don’t want it canceled. Stop being so fragile by any criticism or revealing who wrote the show. Grow thick skin. Geesh.

Stan culture is something else.

Fair point, however I would argue that the number of gay men who are very clearly identifying with this series, suggests that being written by a woman has had very little negative effect on its authenticity.

The author clearly did her research, probably with friends, because she managed to write gay, bisexual, lesbians, trans (and even asexual) characters with love and respect.

I'm not stanning anything lol, I ain't even read it. But when your every post is 'well it's invalid bc it's written by a queer woman and not a man' or 'well they'll just break them up haha' it reads like shit stirring for no reason.

So gay nerds want hot buff jocks ? Got it

Are there gay jocks who relate to Kits character and into gay skinny nerds like Joe ?
Yes. Very much so. Partner is a skinny nerd and I'm a straight presenting "jock" who's previously dated other jocks that didn't work out.
