Matt Mendrum I have followed some of his twitter feed of late, he is a trumpista/trumpster. Believing of many the right wing conspiracy theories, plus he was a contradiction an commentator pointed on another earlier postings he used twitter follow him. Around 2010 Matt Mendrum wrote he left one gym he complained of the many male gym goers who would stare at him, a few times would come onto him, but the following year in 2011 was his first and only appearance for JimmyZProductions, the website that targets mostly the 'gay' adult market. He would have to have a really low IQ not to see who he undresses for. It's not women who spend money and time on bodybuilding/bodybuilders.
I believe many of these 'straight' bodybuilders and physique competitors have a lack of self awareness, naevity regarding the 'gay' following of bodybuilding.
If that's the case I can only think men like him are not smart people at all. With or without gay men they work out to stand on stage to impress a hall full of men with their nearly naked bodies and over-enhanced secondry sex traits and a table of judges who will judge them by how appealing their enhanced secondary sex traits look to them.

The only reason they use words like “faggot” or any other slur about sexual orientation (especially the line: it’s a sin!) is because of their own brokenness. You only try to break someone with the shards of glass you know best. No, you’re not going to get them to change, they have to be ready for it. Matt Mendrun is not the nicest guy. He is very homophobic and he does throw shade here and there wheb he loses an argument. Listened to his videos and he thinks he is all that. He quit bodybuilding because he could not win. He is now married to a woman with more children from another relationship prior to him. Hope he has a decent job to provide for his family.
His voice sounded quite more feminine than what I expected in his Jimmy Z video. I'll have to refind it and listen to a bit to see if I am remembering correctly, but it was pretty ironic to find out later he disliked gays.
I think Matt Mendrun does have some awareness he's a huge, gaping asshole. I mean his Twitter bio used to read 'meathead minus the douche', now it just reads 'meathead'...did he have a moment of clarity regarding his shitty behavior? I think so.

Joey Swoll's homophobia is disappointing to me because his gay-oriented content has always been out there for the whole world to see and part of his seeming success is due to gay men noticing him. But I'm conviced he is not attracted to guys; he just used his looks to appeal to gay guys for money.
I totally agree with you. I also believe that the Kinsey scale, while old and outdated in 2018, still holds some weight. A person can have latent homosexual desires that they repress inside and choose to overly focus on chasing the opposite sex as a way to prove how straight they are. Plenty of men do it. The hatred they feel toward gay people is a manifestation of the way they feel about their own orientation. I’m not saying Joey is gay, I’m saying Joey may feel extremely insecure about his orientation (for whatever reason) or at the very least, feel insecure about the industry he’s in.
Is Joey really homophobic? He used to be on Periscope and would enjoy the attention of guys who adored his body abd he had no problem about that. He would even flex and play with his pecs to his fans delight.
