The best thing about John Gotti is that once he was tried and sent to prison, he finally had to finish high school. New York State law that all prison inmates must finish high school if they don't already have a high school degree. I would have loved to watch him fulfill those high school credits. If I'm not mistaken, once he finally satisfied the necessary class credits, he then died from heart disease. At least, it is hoped, he finally knew how to correctly spell his full name. :smile:

Actually, it was throat cancer which finally took The No Longer So Dapper Don out. Convicted on several charges in the early 1990s, he was shipped off to Marion Illinois-a Federal joint and died nearly 10 years later in Springfield Illinois.

Gotti had an extensive criminal history with arrests and prison terms dating back to the late 1950s.
