When it comes to word of mouth on cock size, you really can't trust anyone, especially if it comes from John himself :biggrin1: . I think studies like the one posted are our only way of really knowing now.

Again cute but I think Holmes knew his dick size better than anybody and he told both of his wives he was 10 so there is no way he was over that. As i said he was probably less than 10 inches. Maybe 9 or so.
 
The story of Holmes claiming to be 10 inches comes from his first wife Sharon, it wasn't something John himself said in an interview or something. He was in the bathroom measuring himself right before his wife came home and when she say him in there, he told her that it was amazing how his dick would go from 5 inches all the way to 10. I don't remember if his second wife Laurie had anything to say about his size.

Don't get me wrong, I personally believe Holmes was around the 10 inch area at most too. But when it comes to word of mouth, I typically toss it out the window. John's long time agent Bill Amerson boldly claims that Holmes was 13 inches, John himself claimed he was the size of "two and a half six inch rulers" (15in), and all of those crazy porn adverts had numbers all over the place. We're better off trusting that site than what anyone had to say.
 
That page reminds me of those videos that purport to prove that no airliners hit the World Trade Center. The guy's analyses look completely hokey to me.

I get that feeling a lot too, but at the same time, I can't think of any ways to disprove it. Actually one thing I thought of was that Ginger Lynn's wrist in that screenshot might not be showing it's full width, which would make the 2 inch dimension line longer... maybe shortening the estimated size of John down to 9 to 10 inches.

John Holmes has always been a hero for me... great films and great pics... shame it all went wrong in the end...

They claim that he "only" measured 8.6"x6.5".
I suppose it can't be far off the truth, I was watching some videos of him and he always looked biggest when he had a floppy erection. Fully erect, he didn't look anywhere near as big as Mandingo. Maybe it was closer to Jack Napier's size.

So I say John Holmes must have been a REAL MEASURED 9-10 inches long and about 7"+ around

I was introduced to him by the clerk. I am about 5'9 inches tall. I was looking across the top of his head at that time.

Another one who knew that same clerk was an 80's porn kid named "Lance" and I encountered him there many times. He was made to look larger in height than he was by careful usage of props and camera angles. I would guess that "Lance" was no more than 5'5" tall and with great proportion that again made his penis look larger than it in fact was.

Remember that successful porn creates an illusion that gets you off. The creation of that illusion is to give your mind someting with which to make comparisons so that your mind fills in what the camera cannot.

It is really kind of neat how well all of this is thought out. It is something that few think about. Most just watch and enjoy.
