I ran across a reference that 1940s/1950s B-movie actor John Ireland was well endowed. I understand the Howard Hawks wrote a scene in RED RIVER where Ireland and Montgomery Clift had conversation about the size of their "guns," a coded reference to Ireland's endowment. Does anyone know anything about this?

I don't believe the scene was specifically written with John Irelands endowment in mind but the scenes is definitely about more than firearms! By the way Montgomery Clift was nicknamed Princess Tinymeat.
