The republican party doesn't deserve John McCain... his conciliatory speech is magnificent, I am blown away.

The crowd sounds like a bunch of crazed Nazis though... he is just incredibly gracious. Kudos to him!! :biggrin1:

One of the best losers I've ever seen. Class act, John; if only you had held that type of class through the campaign, maybe things would've turned out different for you.

Craze Nazis? The crowd has hardly said anything. They are chanting a little bit. Good for them! They deserve to be proud of him (And I'm a Democrat).

Indeed. He showed more class than his party allowed him to show from the very start.

Seems he's gotten the message and appreciates the significance of the moment. Hopefully they will too.

Very classy, I always liked the man. Just not the GOP campaign and the pick of Sarah Palin.

Yes, it reminds me of Ross Perot's concession speech in 92.

I've said on here before that I thought John McCain had lost control of his own campaign, and that what we were seeing -- the Palin pick, the Ayers smears, the erratic 'suspending' of his campaign -- were choices his staff made and not his own choices.

I totally agree with you. I used to like John McCain until he ran for president. His campaign was so not like who I thought McCain was. The speech reminded me of the McCain I once admired.

The concession speech was very classy. Very gracious in defeat.

Why don't you shut your ignorant mouth, you don't even know what a bunch of crazed Nazis is. The crowd I saw was perfectly appropriate and a model of decorum. If McCain had won you would have seen riots at Grant Park, but McCain's crowd was a class act.

Booing the President Obama everytime his name was mentioned is a class act? You're the reason your party got ass-raped tonight.
