The word on the street about JT has been "out" for years, various tabloid stories, including one from an ex-employee, and rumors have been that he is gay (bottom). I wish a star like Paul Newman, who no longer has to worry about losing roles as a romantic lead would come out and speak of the millions of men and woman living a double life, it could help as many people as his considerable charity work with his product line.

I'm not sure that's the best name to throw into the fray, for the following reason (and presuming that rumors about either actor's sexuality are true)...

1) Paul Newman has been a staunch advocate of gay rights for many years. Sample quote: "I'm a supporter of gay rights. And not a closet supporter either. From the time I was a kid, I have never been able to understand attacks upon the gay community. There are so many qualities that make up a human being; by the time I get through with all the things that I really admire about people, what they do with their private parts is probably so low on the list that it is irrelevant".
