The threads on John Travolta (play pilot) are rampant over at
http://www.airliners.net
He is a fine actor with a beautiful wife and two cool "antique" jets. This is of course a misnomer because he has a prgressive maintenance schedule (i.e. A, B, and C checks) that keep them both at a high level of reliability. Some years ago John had an incident over Washington at night in the Gulfsteam in which the aircraft lost nearly total electrical power. His wife and then infant son were aboard. Good crew coordination and good fortune got the aircraft back on the ground at Washington National: DCA.
His FAA certificates are at faa.gov over at landings.com. Click on the database and pilot certificates, then type in John Joseph Travolta. He is:

John has gone through first officer training on the Boeing 707 and the 747-400 with Qantas, who he has a promotional tie with.
His two aircraft are
N707JT, a Boeing 707-138B manufactured in 1964 and delivered to Qantas. His other aircraft is
N492JT, a Grumman Gulstream II (serial number 82), manfactured in 1970. Both are commercially registered.
By the way, John's aircraft are frequent visitors to Hamilton, Ontario. Photos of the beautiful 707 can be seen at:
