a lot of governments are putting harsher rules atm. mainly because of christmas and nye. it's basically a given that there'll be an increase in cases by january, because people are gonna be partying and not give a shit about the rules. it's been happening for the past 2 years, why would it stop now? every time any time of event comes around, people ignore the rules and about a week later the news is going on about cases going up.
if his concert is in january, it might very well get cancelled, a lot of live events are either getting cancelled or ending up on the news for leading to omicron breakouts

I dont know what drugs you are taking when talking about the UK, but they reported a record high amount of cases yesterday lmao.

His post says nothing about the world shutting down nor does it even promote that idea. He's literally pointing out some of the harsh restrictions being put in place because of Omicron and that the holidays will give a boost to spread. Common sense really. He's just saying what is reality and is already happening. Events are being canceled because of Omicron and January will be no different until there is a better idea of what this variant is.

It is seemingly more likely that this wave won't last the 4-6+ weeks previous waves have and will blow through the population extremely quick in 2-3 weeks like with South Africa and seemingly Denmark. Although the holidays could stunt that. It could be 2-3 weeks from NYE.
