Hey guys - I've lurked for a long time and have finally decided to start posting......so here goes. I've admired a mostly straight porn star named Jonathon Simms for a long time. I first saw him in a Shane's World video some years ago and then kept looking for anything he's done. He seems to only perform with a female porn star named Charlie, a big breasted beauty herself. Perhaps they're married, because she only seems to perform with him as well. I once caught him in a solo JO video performing under the name Dean Butch Bailey. Jonathan Simms passed away following a brain aneurysm in March 2002, aged either 25 (according to his official bio) or more likely 27.
He was married to Charlie (Charlene D. García) from November 2000 until his death, although they'd worked together in numerous movies previously.

However, after hunting around some more today, I also wouldn't now like to say for sure that he is dead. In fact, I'm considerably more inclined to say that he isn't, and that the assertion of his death may simply be a convenient story to cover the fact he wanted to leave the industry and his past in it behind.Screaming_Queen said:

Likewise, his online website is long-since defunct, so that all of it that remains is this CACHED image. As noted above, Charlie's website has also been in a state of neglect since 2000. However, she seems never to have denied the death story in any Q&A session at conventions that she's attended.
So far, it's pretty straightforward. However, it's at this juncture that the picture gets cloudy.

It's hard to believe that they both died of the same cause at the same time.
However, there is clear evidence that Jonathan Simms had been wanting out of the industry just prior to this, as per the content of this email he sent to the owner of the Yahoo group dedicated to him, on 5th February 2002:
On the basis of this, I am inclined to believe that one of three things happened: (i) he died the next month, coincidentally of the same cause as the other Dante - this, of course, is highly improbable; (ii) he had already left the industry and never bothered to correct the misinfomation, of which he was unaware; or (iii) he specifically had no interest in correcting the information about the other "Dante" and deliberately allowed the misinformation about his death to be spread and published to help aid his permanent departure from the industry. His real name has never been published, which would help in the ease of this.
And it all seemed so straightforward yesterday.

"Dante" is merely another example of this.
I have sent out a few emails to people in the know, btw, to see whether they might have any more definitive insights into the strange case of "Jonathan Simms". So we shall see if anything more is forthcoming.
Johnathan is kind of naughty if he is still alive and faking his own death by using someone else's death as a cover eh? It's kindof like a soap opera plot!
